| Well, recently the people of the Russian Federation took a stand accusing Vladamir Putin in rigging the election results. What are your insights? |

| It was rigged, and the Communists clearly would have won if it wasn't. |

"The Soviet Union was destroyed in a coup..not from the people."
I'm pretty sure Perestroika was the basis for the Soviet Union's collapse. |

They prefer the old Soviet institutions as opposed to the current corrupted, Authoritarian system. |

The Soviet Union was destroyed in a coup..not from the people. ________________________________________________________________________ The USSR was slowly taken apart by lots of things. Not just a coup. The people of the USSR had a major role to play in it. |

| One reason why they collapsed is the Soviet-Afghan War... to much money and too many men. |

And the Soviet's response to Reagen's SDI, their currency just couldn't take it, however, I think both sides lost to the SDI.
The USSR collapses while the US inherits a giant deficit. |

| Yeltsin signed the USSR out of existence. His actions weren't reflective of everyone's views. I did admire the Soviet Union, but what the Bolsheviks done was... disgusting. |
