A group's worst nightmare: Inactivity Is the an answer to such problem? YES. It just may not be the answer you wish. (Is included in the Maric Documental Library)
These are the Five R's to successful solving of your group activity crisis
[Contents] Step 1: Refresh Step 2: Reform Step 3: Recruit Step 4: Re-Assemble Step 5: Relax
Step 1: Refresh The worst thing in an inactive group, is to shout meetings, training, raids, etc... and 1 or less people show up. This is when you take and easy approach. This is what you should do to "refresh".
-Make a shout about group activity. (I usually say, "Post on the wall 'ACTIVE' once you see this shout.")
-If no one responds, you have hit rock bottom, and you must move to a more aggressive approach.
-Demote ALL inactives. No matter what their social status is, demote them to the lowest rank. This shows you are seroius to your word. It shows you don't tolerate lack of participation. Also makes the lowest rank have more people, so when people go to your page, they are determined you are a larger group.
Step 2: Reform Many people would start recruiting here, but if you do, you are making a HUGE mistake. There was a reason people went inactive, you must eliminate the odds, and fix thus issue.
-Try a new group logo. Maybe your previous one was boring/old/annoying/ugly/etc...
-Change up Group Desc. Maybe people want new news/ideas/etc...
-Change the ranks. Maybe they are tired of the boring old ranks. I mean I always do a Democratic-Republic theme, so people vote, and can always participate.
-Change Uniforms. Maybe the old ones just don't fit in.
Step 3: Recruit Now is a good time to recruit. You have all new stuff, everything is ready, it is almost like a fresh start!
-Send out ads. [Buy group ads, makes Forum ads].
-Make a Recruitment Centre. make gui's in it so you don't need to be their the whole time. people can just go, and learn about your group.
-My personal favorite. You and some of your closest friends go to another random group place. Go help the enemies, and slowly earn their trust. Recruit them. Slowly do this. People will slowly join your group. Every person counts, though. That adds one more person to your 'recruitment convoy'.
Step 4: Re-Assemble You have a good enough amount of actives. You start again by seeing who is active or not. Whoever is, REWARD THEM. Give them VIP, promotion, etc... Be creative.
-Reward the actives, they will stay active.
-Train.
-Raid,
-Keep the actives busy, and they will stay active.
Step 5: Relax Your group should be saved. you should be emerging from your original situation. Keep training, raids, meetings, etc... on a constant pace, and don't let your group slide back into it's situation!
Good luck!
