Is when people make posts like "umg 80's musik was way beter den modrn musik".
NEWSFLASH: No. It's not. You can't just take the best music of the 80's and compare it to the worst music of today and say that it is better.
You can't call something like this proof either:
"The 80's are better because they had Michael Jackson and now everyone is bowing down to Justin Bieber."
That is false. Michael Jackson is considered and icon and the king of pop, so comparing him to Bieber just wouldn't be fair. Also, Bieber's haters tend to overrate him more then his fans sometimes by saying that everyone loves him. In reality his music actually isn't all that popular compared to some of the other artists today. I haven't heard one Bieber song on the radio since Baby was released and even that wasn't played too often. From what I've been told, back in the 80's a song by MJ was played pretty much every hour.
If you are going to compare two artists for this reason, in order for it to be valid you should at least use someone with close air time or sales. Katy Perry forexample, is tied for MJ's record for having 5 number on songs off one album. She would be a much more fair comparison then Bieber or some of the other artists I've seen mentioned.
I know that this thread has been used about as many times as the other threads, but I am really just getting sick of going everywhere and seeing these unfair generalizations of today's music.
And yes, I am aware that more then likely this will have no affect on anything whatsoever.
its a monster thing

| I agree even though I'm listening to "Fame" by Irene Cara. |

| I cannot disagree with that, good points. Although, music from the 50s and earlier is way better than most modern music. Music from the 18th Century and earlier is also better. |

They did. "Lulu" is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be. |

| Best post evar. I'm really tired of all these Bieber threads. Why post something about someone you don't like? Doesn't make sense. This is a Music Forum, not a I Don't Like Bieber Forum. |

I'm pretty sure that it was for theatrics, using the process of deduction, because 'a' and 'e' are not neighbors on my* keyboard, and he did not really make any other typos, so it would be preposterous to assume that it was a typo when they were somewhat far apart, and he does not make a habit of typos of that sort.
*The standard keyboard=my keyboard |

I didn't say it was a typo though.
I just said he misspelled it.
I was aware that more than (then?) likely he used the word evar for more effect. |
