Actually no. It's not based on a French King's foot. It has similar naming, but it's not the same.
Also, i completely agree. US should switch to metric. |

its not like everything in metric is rounded to a perfect 10
it can be 4.472736847 meters or kilometers or whatever else |

| US won't switch due to the fact I'd have to change things(like,according to my Social Studies teacher,things that make cars)and it would be really expensive. So they don't. So money. |
