| Question is - will it lag less than that one that generates by bricks? |

| I don't like the fog. It interacts with meshes and reflecting parts weird. Once they debug it further then I'll use it |

| Well, crazyman32, I am conflicted with the lack of lighting options, also, you forgot that it conflicts with like windows. |

@Crazy That would be like deleting all the fog bricks in an old fog game... I think the fog is made of part Gui part code which is like shiny |

| Nope, it's rendered into the game engine |

| it interacts directly with parts in the game so there's no way it could be part of the Gui. Standard GUIs are on like the surface of your screen, in front of everything. |

| It is pretty impressive but its not something we would want for every game, js |

Now that you think about it, crazyman32 is completely correct.

Plus the fading of it is very smooth. It's definitely coded into the rendering of the game.
To be honest though, I have no proof of what I'm saying. Just stating things from how it seems to be working. |

You can easily script it so it will turn off. Personally I like the feature.
The script is something like this:
game.Lighting.FodStart = 100 wait(2) game.Lighting.FogStart = 100000
But I dunnt if FogStart is what the property is called :P |

| Yes, but it would be nice to have a literal way to turn it off rather than just faking it out |

Your answers are more ethical than the ones we put down. Implying that you know what you are saying, I think. |

| Well they just released it not too long ago, so there probably will be some bugs. |

Haha, I hardly ever know what I'm talking about :P However, I do have some knowledge on how these systems work, and it would only be logical to have it rendered into the game engine directly, or at least sub-directly. |

@Crazyman
What do you mean by faking it out? |

| @borning - That doesn't actually turn the system off. It is still running and probably making pointless calculations. Might as well have a way to turn it off to at least increase speed a tad bit. |

@crazyman32
Yeah, the answer is quite simple. I mean, this is 2011. The people who program the game itself would definitely do something more logical, something more genius then just a thin, perpendicular lines of grey.
And yeah, I agree with you because you have a word with programming. I am still learning the basic steps, and trying to understand the functions. I do have experience with coding, but I can't get this in my head. |

Yeah, it takes a while to first understand how programming works. It took me a while. But once you get it, your learning of it starts skyrocketing faster and faster all the time. The rate of growth usually is pretty small at first though.
I only know Lua on here though, as well as JavaScript and HTML, CSS, but those 3 aren't really difficult. I'm learning Java soon though in school :D |
