Just randomly wanted a piano script since i love music so much. Here goes:
if ????.????.????.???.keyboardkey.z == pressed then
function KeyPressed(hit) game.workspace.part.SoundCNote = play
Repeat with other notes... So i kinda made this up as i went, not sure of any specifics yet. |

| It's hard to make the sound of the piano..Unless it's a roblox sound. |

| Dude, that's the hard part...I wouldn't even do this until you get a couple tips about making sounds without roblox sounds. |

Agreed with miz656. You need to know how to work with sounds in ROBLOX, plus it needs to be approved.
And your code isn't close to a working script (in the slightest).

Well i heard of one but i wasnt really sure what it was. I searched "Moves like Jagger" on free models and i found a little radio. It played basic sounds, no lyrics, and no drums, it sounded kinda like a nylon guitar. Anyway, i looked at its script, there wasnt a sound in sight. But i found this:
sound = {3, -1.5, 7}, {6, -7, -3.25}... And it went on and on until the script went off the screen. So, obviously, that has something to do with it. |

1. You can't create your own sounds. You have to manipulate the tone/pitch of Roblox's sounds.
"Oh come now, all i was missing is the part i dont understand, the "end", the Event listener, and i had a few errors.... Yeah, thats a lot, but ill fix the script once i get some sounds." 2. That's four lines. Usual scripts for things like this are very complex and take weeks or months. You are absolutely nowhere near done, my friend. |

No he didn't... He manipulated the pitch and tone of Roblox sounds and strung them together to simulate a musical tune using a script, just like I said. Several people do this, for example blobbyblob and brandonhare. |

| I know it's only four lines, but did you notice the part where I said that I was going to repeat it for all notes?I just wanted to make sure my script was on track. I wanted to know how to make sounds, and how to make an event listener for a keyboard button. |

@miz: Yes, it's called the MIDI player. That's what blobbyblob (one of the people I mentioned) invented using manipulation of Roblox sounds.
#wow75: Oh! So you just want buttons that make specific sounds for each one? Like an ordinary playable piano? I thought you meant something that plays a song entirely on it's own! In that case this is much simpler to do. But still, you can't create sounds. You alter the properties of Roblox's sounds to create "different" sounds, meaning they're all variations of the same sound just with different tone and pitch. Then you just use those, a different tone/pitch of the sound for each key. |
