I support the Big Rip theory.

The Universe will likely be torn apart with anything. But even with life extensions, we won't live to see it.

Yes, the big rip theory sounds about right. Yet, I have not heard of the big crunch. Is it basically what it sounds like?

Just read about the big crunch, it looks catastrophic. And Gecko, I have seen that on the news this morning. Looks inhabitable.

You haven't read about the Big Crunch prior to now? How old, exactly, are you?!
I adhere to the heat-death school. |

Oh, and blabla, of course we won't. Humans are too weak and violent too live that long. We'll destroy ourselves.

Gliese 158d is the hostile planet. It can maintain life, likely, but isn't likely to be home to us anytime soon. The more likely planet for us to inhabit is Keplar22b (I think that's the name). It's 600 light years away, but the upside is that it has a decent temperature all year round (70) and has a good atmosphere.

Keplar is what I heard about today, blablabla. Seems good, but it will take us decades to perfect the technology to get there.

Wait, so how long will it take for humans to get to Kepler, using a...
pretty darn fast spaceship? |

Here's the universe-ending scenario I'd be happy with:
DEATH BY PAC-MAN!!!

It depends, brownie. Depending on the speed of the rocket, several years.

Again, depends. Hopefully, by this time we'll have successfully perfected something near to light speed, and this would make it faster.

If we have Negative Energy technology within 100 years, which we could live to see with life extensions, The trip could take anywhere between 3 days and 5 years. Warp Drives can be slow as hell or fast as hell.

A warp drive contracts the space in front of it, and expands the space in the back of it. Technically, it doesn't move, so the speed of light doesn't apply.
