| Take a metal pole. Place a portal on the ceiling, and one on the floor, exactly the length of the pole away from each other. Drop it in. It'll hit each other, right? Now stop it from moving, because obviously it will. Weld the two ends together. Will it go on infinitly? Will it constantly move downward? And what if it's attached to a movable surface? If you drop the surface will it shorten the pole? And what if you move the portal on one end? |

You don't get it.
Dividing by 0 = Infinity
(Jumps in portal and falls for infinity) See? |

| It doesn't equal infinity, it can't be done. I would have gotten it if you were right. |

In all logical mathamtical equations, dividing by zero would just be 0, the fact that a calculator says error, doesn't make it Astro Physics. As for te portal thing, no the pole would not hit itself, it would continue to fall like any other item. |

| The pole would hit itself if it was exactly the right length, so if you welded it together, with one portal on a detachable surface, moved that surface up/down, or relocated the portal, what would happen? |

| As far as we know, neither are portals. If portals are possible, and there are poles that are the exact length of certain hallways, and you placed a portal on the ceiling and floor directly opposite of each other in that hallway, it could have both ends touching each other |

It wouldn't hit itself, it would simply be touching itself the entire time. If the bottom moved down through the portal the top would move as well, making sure it would never collide, but actually just be connected. |

| Then what if you welded each end of the pole together? And then after that detached the section above and shortened the distance? Or moved one portal? |

How could you weld the ends together, if it's moving?

More fun Shoot a portal on ground. Shoot a portal in front of a guy his head. Drop a knife or a pig in the portal.
Result: ownage OR A butt of a pig slammed in the guy's head. |

Ok, lets say you welded it together, now take the protals away, and you're wondering what would happen? Well since the pole can't be more than itself, it would just be the same pole, with welds on each end.

The portals have an infinitely small depth, and cannot be placed if there is an obstruction, and disappear if there is, so you can never weld the ends together or it becomes a loop and the portals disappear.
Good day, and good mental health. |
