You know how those real good guns look AWESOME? But are impossible to make in edit mode? I'm here to help you make them EASILY (Scripting them not included).
1. Build a big model of it. Could be a laser, a taco that shoots lasers, or a taco shooting laser. Detail it however you want. (Recommend using the floating brick model) (Anchored brick, studs and surfaces will not show up in final model, excluding decals). FLOATING BRICK: http://www.roblox.com/Floating-brick-item?id=37919657 CFrame editor for more detail, merging bricks, etc, only before step 2: http://www.roblox.com/CFrame-Editor-Rotate-Tool-w-GUI-item?id=55241842
2. Get a reducer script. Such as this: http://www.roblox.com/Mini-map-maker-for-wepons-item?id=16999749
OPTIONAL STEP 3: Go to the script, and modify the scale of 1 / 25 to however smaller (Or bigger, if you want) the weapon will be when you use it.
4. Insert a model into the workspace (It is easier an empty model) and put the script in, then rename the model to something easy to remember.
5. Name the grip point of the weapon 'Handle' without quotes.
6. Go to test mode and go to the explorer.
7. Find the model the minimap script was in, and get the model to an area near you.
8. Ungroup if you want, or not, and cut out unnecessary bricks, including the basplate in the minimap.
9. You have the look of the weapon. Now, insert a tool into the workspace, and copy the bricks of the gun into that tool.
10. Add a weld script to the tool so it does not explode.
11. Unanchor it.
12. Script, modify, whatever you want to the weapon.
Hope it helps. There is a youtube video for that. And this MAY work for vehicles and buildings, too, in reverse (Build a small model that has the inner passages or spaces, change 1 / 25 to +25 / 25, and you got a big building/vehicle/model). |

| If you're a good maker of guns, it would take you less than an hour :) |

| @ the thread; at number 10 and 11, that's wrong. Your weapon will only break apart(explode) if you unanchor it. DONT EVER UNANCHOR IT. Keep the weapon anchor. Place a Weld script for it to be unanchor. The weld script dosent make your weapon explode.... it will "unanchor itself without the weapon breaking apart. Only when you unanchor the weapon without placing the Weld script. |

| I'm not good at explaining. Thats what I meant. If you want to unanchor the weapon (I did) you need a weld script. |

Don't use a minimap script at all.
That's plain lazy.
Build it the size it will always be, so you can save the effort of using a script.
