You need to do it with a plugin though...this is ideal for plugins that use imported GUI's.
Anyway, just put this line in the plugin: game:SetPlaceId(x)
x is the placeId of any place that belongs to the creator of the model you want to insert. |

| Yes, I'm mad at the mentally challenged kid who thinks his "glitch" works. You see, this is why Roblox is losing it's quality - it's based solely on the community. |

| It's not a glitch, and it DOES work. Just try it. |

| And it's not right to call someone "mentally challenged". You know for a fact I'm not like that and you're offending the poor children who really are that way by using it as a derogatory term. |

TheCapacitor, you shouldn't insult someone just because they don't know about some obscure link that you do. And you certainly should use the terms you did to insult them.
I can tell you that sk8er can script. I'm pretty certain of that from his posts on this forum. Of course this community is going to live up to what you want it to be if someone who is mature and intelligent is far below what you want. |

I used DataModel:SetPlaceId and DataModel:SetUserId and set them to the correct values. Still can't insert the object. :p
In fact, even if you own the place, you can't insert your own assets. |

| Well, that's absolutely strange. It seems like it's very picky. I can insert a model off of my main account, but I can't insert anybody else's models so far... |

| I haven't set the placeid or anything, and insertservice in plugins works fine for me. Are you talking about models that aren't public domain? |

Dap doesn't understand the concept of plugins or the command bar.
function InsertAsset(id) return game:GetObjects(string.format("http://www.roblox.com//Asset//?id=%d", id)) end
