Problem: Roblox gets thousands of new users, every day, many of whom have no previous experience in online gaming. These people wander into the vast online game which is Roblox with no idea whatsoever on what they're supposed to do. They have no idea they COULD build, get into the wrong crowd, and eventually end up becoming a failed troll such as krill3r, a failed builder such as SONIC, or a failed online dater such as jaredvaldez.
Solution: Adopt-a-newbie!
How it works: Whenever a new user joins Roblox, they get a chance to join a program, called "Adopt-a-Newbie," where a veteran of at least two years tutors said new user on how Roblox works.
(this is just to see the community's response to the idea. I already see all the problems with it now, I WILL update it by tomorrow.)

This is the best idea I've seen all week. SUPPORT!
I would adopt a newbie, if I was old enough.
But couldn't the older guy teach him the wrong things?
Then again, he could just not believe the guy.
I'm confused.

I think it's very rude how you shout-out krill3r, Sonic, and Jared in a rude manner. I think you need to re-think your actions, there's an actual human behind that screen that can get offended by your words.
Anyway, I think this is isn't a very good idea. I mean, users on ROBLOX these days aren't trustworthy or reliable, so I think it would be better if newbies just got a tutorial video on how to build and work, because it displays a visual image.
Sometimes when you talk about building and Cframing to them, you might understand it, but they don't know WHAT you're talking about.
They wouldn't even guess that Builders Club was a membership name. They'd think it was literally a club.
So I think videos are the best way to go, because an image is displayed and they can copy what the video does, instead of getting confused by word-by-word. |

Yes, they are real people. That changes nothing. The things they do on Roblox reflect what kind of person they are in real life. Always being super sensitive to avoid hurting someone's feelings is a horrible policy.
@Idea
It's a nice idea but ultimately impractical. There could be a lot of corrupt mentors. There are other ways to show newbies the ropes. |

People will make false videos then lol. Just play Diddleshot's tutorial game. It shows you how to do everything. That's how I know how to play ROBLOX. |

I WAS krill3r, and sonic and jared are both based off of a popular opinion poll.

Ok, let's have Sonic for an example. Has he done anything bad to you? No. Has he said anything bad to you? No. Has he ever made a thread calling you a fail in it? No.
So why do it to him? Just because the public shows negative reviews on him, doesn't mean you have to, too. (referring to the OP) Sonic's a nice person, and free models are there for a reason. As for Jared, he's never done anything bad to you, either. And yet you act childish and call him a fail for no reason. I understand he online dates, but the dude's a human not an emotion-less robot, cut him some slack.
I don't understand why this community is filled with rotten people like you. How would you like it if you got insulted and hated by thousands of people on ROBLOX? You wouldn't like it at all, I can tell you that.
Being nice is better than being mean, ok? And being nice is not a bad policy. |

On some of JamieBind's posts he is really friendly. Everyone is occasionally rude. I'm either really mean or kinda nice.

| @Summer- get out. Please. I can't stand people like you. Being nice is a good thing to do. But always caring about peoples feelings, that makes them soft. I guarentee you that if we met outside of this situation, and for some reason I started telling you half the things i've done and said, you would be yelling about how i'm a terrible person. |

| Also, just saying, people who act as you do are often hypocrites using their shouting about niceness as a facade to how they are truly a cruel person. |

"Ok, let's have Sonic for an example. Has he done anything bad to you? No. Has he said anything bad to you? No. Has he ever made a thread calling you a fail in it? No.
So why do it to him?" -- Actually, you don't know any of those things for fact. You are making assumptions. I've never done any of those things to him, but if I did, I would have reason to do it. -- "Just because the public shows negative reviews on him, doesn't mean you have to, too. (referring to the OP)" -- Of course it doesn't, my opinions are my own. -- "Sonic's a nice person, and free models are there for a reason." -- Yeah, the reason being he's either too lazy or not skilled enough to make his own. -- "As for Jared, he's never done anything bad to you, either." -- Again, assumption. -- "And yet you act childish and call him a fail for no reason." -- I don't recall any such thing. -- "I understand he online dates, but the dude's a human not an emotion-less robot, cut him some slack." -- Should we cut murderers slack because they're "human"? When you break the rules, you deserve the consequences. How do you know he online dates anyway? Didn't you just use the public opinion? Funny, you just told me not too. -- "I don't understand why this community is filled with rotten people like you." -- I have to admit, I laughed a little at that one. How am I rotten? What did I do again? Oh right, pointed out your mistake in reasoning. -- "How would you like it if you got insulted and hated by thousands of people on ROBLOX?
You wouldn't like it at all, I can tell you that." -- I can't say I would LIKE it. Personally, I doubt I would care, but I don't do things to make people hate me anyway. Except, of course, the ones who get too passionate in their shaky arguments. -- "Being nice is better than being mean, ok? And being nice is not a bad policy." -- I never said being nice was a bad policy. I said being overly sensitive was.
Anyway, this post isn't for our argument. If you'd like to continue, I'd welcome a PM. I love a good debate. :D

| I'm all for it! however, newbies may become noob-ies and mess you up. also, some veterans may say "Well I figured it out by myself and if they want to learn about game design then they should do it themselves". |

Support but what if the New person adopts a new person. Wouldn't they be lost like the other newbies there wouldn't they and plus if you knew the answer just PM me please, and thank you
( The pming is for anyone that knows the answers so thank you!!
PS: The person could say swearing words to the new player and the new play would leave roblox and we would lose ROBLOX space so this is about a 84% support for me( PM me for this one too if you like but thank you for PMing me because I love PMS I don't know why.)

I'm not a cruel person, why would you assume such a thing? Everyone's getting worked up just because I said it wasn't a smart choice to call someone names on threads because it's a personal attack.
Is it a crime to do so? I'm sorry if I offended anybody, or if I made myself seem like a super-sensative goody-two shoes, (excuse my spelling) I just thought it wasn't very nice.
I completely agree with everybody that I was acting like a softy, so I apologize. Other than that, I still don't think the idea is too good.
It can be abused by many, and word-by-word is confusing to some people who have no idea what ROBLOX even is.
I think the ROBLOX team should make the tutorial videos instead of players, and so on..
So yeah, and by the way, the only reason I was acting like a softy is because in the past I was completely rude and judged everyone by their name and join date back then. I want to just clean up my act, because I was acting extremely stupid, and I don't think I've improved.
So yeah sorry. ^^ |

| Alright. And I didn't say you in particular were a cruel person, but i've known a lot of people who have said your exact words who were. And you didn't offend me, and I was simply critisizing the way you over reacted. And just saying, find the fine line where you act like a jerk, without coming across as mean. Just be a nice jerk. |
