I mean really ROBLOX? You can get hit by a speeding car in here, but the car gets STUCK in your body? Now unless you're Superman, then that ain't gonna happen.
So I propose that if you get hit by anything, then you go a certain distance, hit by another player is like 1 stud, like you are getting pushed out of the way.
Hit from something going faster, or someone "running" would be like 5 studs, like getting shoved/hit.
Something even faster would be like 20 studs, like getting hit by a car. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you are falling from a really high height, you fall through the ground, that does NOT happen in real life.
How about making it so that when you fall, and start going a certain velocity, then, depending on the object you land on, you can bounce, die, trip, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you are one a treadmill/conveyer belt thing you move forward. However, if you jump, you jump up straight. Making it so that when you are going a certain speed in a certain direction you can jump faster/farther.
Basically meaning realistic Momentum.

Putting in his changes would involve big changes in the physics engine, IE AN OVERHAUL. |

Lol yea. I believe in 07, some aspects of the physics were more realistic than they are now. But they have improved some parts...just made worse others :p
They need to fix this though definitely. |

Shutup with the "it's scriptable." because you can't enhance physics without massive scripting which needs to be on Roblox's server if you want to reduce lag.
We need at least some realism. A car being stopped by a person is not at all realistic. |

| Well, seeing that Roblox boasts a physics engine that teaches children about physics, they should really fix it. It isn't like they have to release the entire engine in one day, that isn't possible. It would be just fine to wait 6-12 months because that is to be expected when you're rewriting an entire program like this. |

I support Collision and Momentum thing, but bouncing off of a surface is different. As you fall, you realize you start to go at a VERY high speed. Pretend the surface is number 0. If you're at number 5 and you fall at a 2.5 constant rate, you're fine. You'll reach 0. However. If you're at 100 and you fall at a 60 constant rate, the closest you're gonna get to 0 is, well, -20. They can't fix that unless they kind of shoot a "lazer" down and read the total distance from you and the nearest can collide brick which could lag. :/
Maybe I'm wrong, all I'm saying is I support #1 and 3 but not 2.
