Yes, but you can't hear It fire. If you don't have the volume to your speaker's on.

If no one knew, this is a variation on an age old philosophical question. "If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" It's basically questioning the very nature of existence.

Any gun has a trigger guard, and pretty much reduces any chance of the gun firing to 0 due to being dropped. But if some idiot decided to remove the guard, then the gun has a possibility to fire. The gun still shoots because there are still sound waves being emitted from the gun, it's just they disapate to the point where no one can hear it.

I am going to sya no because I was asked the same question once, it was similar but, That question was, If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, Does it make a noise? I was told no because if no one is there to hear it then it doesn't really mean it makes a noise...Confusing-JKStorm

The very nature of an experiment is changed by the observation of it.
While some people are saying 'yeah, it emits sound waves when it's fired, of course it makes a sound!', you neglect the fact that maybe, just maybe, your presence is what triggers the release of those sound waves.
But, then again, it may not; in which case, it does make a sound.

If nobody is around, the server is empty. If the server is empty, it doesn't exist. By that logic, it will not make a sound.

Ed, the point is that the gun makes noise, it doesn't matter if someone isn't there to hear it or not. About the dissipation, the concept is that if someone shoots a gun in New York, someone in California shouldn't be able to hear it because the sound waves dissipate, or disperse.
