Why hello, I've posted long ago some preliminary ideas about this superhero series I want to make, so I've added some revised points.
*The intro for this series will be done anime-style, a minute or two long, using liscensed music, and the lyrics to it appear on the screen, using original animation.
The intro song for Season 1 will be: Candle by White Tie Affair
Season 1 Outro: 21 Guns by Green Day
*The show will use some liscensed music in some fight scenes and such.
i.e.
Dance Floor Anthem by Good Charlotte Somebody Told Me Dance, Dance by Fallout Boy Sugar We're Falling Down by Fallout Boy and others
*The story is going to be different, as we explore emotions, like friends dying, and other sensible details, I want to include three dimensional and dynamic characters, villains who aren't entirely villains.
*The main character's powers develop through out the course of the story and get stronger. For example, in the beginning he can get hurt, and isn't all that strong or fast, but he's superhuman, to the point where he is bulletproof, to where he has limited flight, similar to one like an airplane (has to run before takeoff, can't float), to where he's the most powerful being in the universe, to until his end, where he's practically a god.
*The source of his power is incredibly mysterious, according to these universal, immortal beings he sees in his mind, it comes from this rare anomaly in the fabric of space, where 1 person in the entirety of the infinite universe develops overhuman abilities. These immortal beings will play a big role in later episodes.
*The main character's costume also changes, first, he uses some sort of hoodie and jeans to conceal his identity and save people for a moment, until he makes this costume that is black and red, with a scarf (there will be comments on the show where people say the scarf is ridiculous), to his final costume, which is really a combination of his second costume and casual wear, with a jacket.
*I think the show will shift from a superhero-y theme to this cosmic one when the hero gains a complete ability of flight and gravitational defying abilities.
Well, I need help for more songs (pop rock/mainstream stuff, like Boys Like Girls and all that crap) and the actual name of the show.
Got some of the voice actors and some key moments planned out, like an Alien Invasion special, and three 'movies' or specials.

It's animated, but we will use some anime influences on the show, like we have an influence from Eureka 7 on the dynamics between the hero and his female friend.
But it's animated, American, lipsynched. |

It gets kind of dark, in some cases. Like when the hero's female friend is presumed dead in a fight, his emotions just break loose on the attacker. Here's some preliminary scripting:
" We see our hero, holding his female friend on his lap, kneeled over on the barren ground. Tears roll down his eyes, he cannot believe his eyes, she's dead. We turn toward the fiendish attacker, a bit damaged from the previous battle, but pretty cocky.
ATTACKER: So, I guess I let my hand slip a little.
Close up on the hero, he is looking down toward the cold body he holds in his arms. This unbelievably terrible for him.
ATTACKER: Well, seems like you did like her, a lot apparently.
ATTACKER: What are you gonna do, little hero? Cry? You couldn't save her, you can't save everyone else. You're a failure, kid. You're not even worth my time, but I'll save you the pain and end your painful little life right where you stand.
The attacker walks up to the pained teen-ager, who is still looking down.
ATTACKER: As cliche as this sounds, but any last words, loser?
HERO (low whisper): I'm going to kill you.
ATTACKER: Come again?
Then in a fit of unrestrained and alien rage, the hero rushes up, creating dust and debris of rock around them, and clutches the attacker's neck, in a frightening anger.
HERO (loud, emotionally terrifying): I'm going to kill you!
The hero then lunges and throws the attacker down to the ground, creating a small crater, with dust and rocks flying. The hero, in his unbridled rage and beastial emotions, plants his foot onto the attacker's face, then picks him up and punches him into a rock.
The attacker runs into the rock, paralyzed for a second, where the hero runs up and knees him into the rock, even harder. Then punches the attacker into the rock, on the face, of course, into the rock, going deeper.
Then the hero grabs the attacker by the face, smashing it into the rock, each blow much more frightening as the rest.
Then we'll end the butchery with the hero still punching the kneeling attacker, the attacker's face shifting left and right from the blows.
HERO (angrily): Why
HERO (angrily): Won't
HERO (angrily): You
HERO (angrily): Go
HERO (angrily): Away
Now the hero picks up the attacker by the collar, holding him with both hands. One eye is closed, as the face is full of brutal marks and scratches.
Then, the hero's psychic friend intervenes.
FRIEND: Listen (name), don't-don't kill him. Please, just don't. It won't bring her back, a-and it'll make you look worse than you already do.
"
And I can't think of anymore. |

| I recommend Instrumental Versions of the Songs you listed, especially Green Day while the Lyrics are great. Instrumental Versions are a lot more simple and sometimes meaningful imagine an Instrumental Version of "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" with the main character walking across a battlefield, all the destruction that humans cause and eventually he is fed up with it. He's all alone. And he will never be the same. For me personally Instrumental Versions are able to spread the Emotions and Vibe of the certain scene a lot easier than Lyrics. |

"
The two only superbeings in the world, standing on top a medium sized building in the middle of their urban jungle. We close in on Martin, putting down an old record, his FEMALE FRIEND watches.
MARTIN: I-It's this song. It's by Sinatra. "Strangers in the Night".
FEMALE FRIEND: So, it's going to be here.
Martin turns toward her
MARTIN: Yes. It is.
The record player starts playing STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT by FRANK SINATRA. Martin Adday walks toward his female friend, and they meet, like the preparations of a slow dance, both young faces meeting face to face.
FEMALE FRIEND: It's a beautiful song.
MARTIN: I-I know.
The two teenagers start to float into the air, slowly, sensually, they tread off the building on midair, like a young god and goddess, and their alien feelings of love that even the most soft-hearted would not comprehend.
We close in on them, seeing them float, slow dance over the calamity of all of human life, they are there, spinning like a perfect top, slowly, romantically. They are above all the neuroticity of regular life.
We zoom out, see two shadows, held together, in the middle of the urban monoliths around them, but these lovers don't care, they are together, both souls unified into one. Nothing would seperate them.
Close in on both faces, their foreheads touch, and they are looking down, at the ants that we are, it would not be surprising if they scoffed and laugh at our absurdity, for they are free.
FEMALE FRIEND: Have you ever felt like this?
MARTIN: Never.

Yeah, since no one's heard of that name.
No really, little children won't know who that is.
But I REALLY want to pitch this show.
I just need to write up the script for the pilot/first episode. |

Like I said before, the dynamics or relationship between Martin and his female friend take inspiration from the two characters from Eureka Seven.
Mainly because E7 is cool and I'm hooked on it. |

| Perhaps at the series end you should play Linkin Park's song....oh dangit cant remember the name,I can remember the lyrics though "Flying at the Speed of Light,Trying to for-get the past" and one of my favorite bits "The Hardest Part of ending is starting again" seems like a decent song to say to fans "hey yeah,we know, its over and now there's a hole in your fanatical world that can never be filled,,but hey its all good. |

@bang
That song is Waiting for the End. Blackout by Linkin Park is great too. It would match for a Tron skit/parody. |

thnx If I may be so bold as to suggest a Character[as well as more songs] Id suggest you throw in a sadistic character who believes you cant spell Slaughter without Laughter ,the kind of character that develops, but never REALLY changes if told "theres a long Road ahead of us" he'll say"lets litter it with Bodies!' plus 2 cookies if you get the quote I used as reference there correct........without searching for it. |

Yeah, we need more sadistic characters in this show.
But I want to make Martin Adday this sort of flawed hero, where he can sometimes give in to his own desires and rage, but overall is incredibly brave. |
