In case you're wondering, this idea is meant to be typed towards the administors starting somewhere through here. So yes, it's towards the members so I can hear your opinions, and anything you think should be changed, and towards the admin to just try to push something right towards them. ____________________ It's late, and I don't feel like dragging things on. So I'll just get straight to the point.
I'm sure we all know by now what is the biggest, or one of the biggest problems on ROBLOX. It's what people refer to as "hacks". Now, these are not hacks, they are exploits, to begin with. There is a very well known site that people use, that if ROBLOX hasn't even heard it's name yet, they're not paying enough attention to their community.
What ROBLOX has been working on recently is stuff like personal servers. Now, that, not a problem. But just today on gametest, I see that they took the time out to make a new font. Meanwhile, there are so much bigger problems than the in-game font.
As we all know, ROBLOX has recently filtered out what was a commonly used exploit. Now, they've filtered this out. But, in the beginning, this could barely do anything. It was mostly just what is known as the "speed hack". Most people didn't know how to do anything with it. If you know what it is, that's great. Don't mention it's name though, because people seem to still have a way to get through the filter.
Now, I guess I can't continue without saying this. ROBLOX, this isn't a suggestion, it's more so a demand. One that a lot of users want. Filter out the rest of the exploits that people use. And also, when someone gets reported for exploiting a whole bunch of times, maybe the message should be there to ban them.
See, these people can't just get warnings. They won't care. Some of them are alts too. I say it's 1 7-day ban the first time, 14-ban the next time, and then perma-ban. If the same IP has three accounts perma-banned, I think there's a message there saying that you should probably put an IP-ban on there. Will this stop everyone? No. But most exploiters don't know how to get through the IP-ban, the smarter ones do. But, there could be a major improvement there.
Now, by now, some of you may think my suggested methods are to harsh, but you gotta think the way I'm thinking. There's too many exploiters on ROBLOX. Banning certain accounts for a bit or giving warnings isn't going to work. I've reported exploiters so many times, and nothing has happened. I have no idea why, but nothing happens. Something needs to happen.
If you wanna make the process more gradual, that's fine. But most online games will IP-ban the first time you're caught, which people usually are. I don't expect you to be able to find out all the exploits immediately, but when they are found out, I suggest a filter, and some hard punishments on the ones who use them.
As I was typing that last paragraph, the though about new members popped into my head. Sure, they could've just not read the rules, it is their fault, but if you joined less than 6 months ago, I guess you could give the first time a 1-day ban and a little explanation as to why they were banned. Next time, they skip right to the 14-day ban, since they've already been told about the exploits. Older members should have the idea that they're not supposed to be used.
Now, I'm sure I could rant much longer, but I'm getting a little bored, and I've said everything that is absolutely necessary.
I'll take my leave by saying; ROBLOX, if you're going to listen to anything, it should be this. |

I'm gonna hope I understood you right.
"Don't play with said exploiters." If you mean just don't play games with them, then it's hard when the only game I really play anymore is SFOTH IV, and that's full of them. Some admin needs to get an alt account and patrol that game. I guarentee you they'll get at least 5% of the exploiters from doing that. |

Thing is, Roblox can't stop all of them, but I agree the punishments need to be a LOT harsher. |

The whole point of the filters I suggested is to send the names to a list of players for ROBLOX, and they can give their punishment. Or, it could automaticly give them the next punishment they deserve. |

| But yeah we need harsher punishments. You can't just exploit and not know it, and not know it's against the rules. |

There are some young kids who can get the exploits working. It really doesn't take intelligence to get them to work. |

| Yes, 'cause I can just shut down any server. Either way, that won't help. Exploiters would still be around. This is to get rid of exploiters, not get rid of servers with exploiters. In case you didn't know, you make progress in some games, and you lose that because of exploiters. They ruin the fun on ROBLOX, and I'm thinking about wether I should even stay or not. |

Thing is, there's nothing you can do about it. Hackers will inevitably one day rule the world, since our world is getting more and more based on technology. No firewall is completely impenatrable. |

| I think that ROBLOX is making a system that automatically encodes the very core of a game, that way, players can't even access ONE part of the game. I have done this with a 100 line script, I even tested on myself, using Youtube so I can exploit my own game, luckily, it worked! I have already sent the script to ROBLOX, so now, exploiters will be virtually gone! |

Well, my worry is not hackers. Sure, hackers will always get in. But, I've never actually seen a hacker on ROBLOX. Just exploiters.
@DX
Well, if this is the truth, then they need to work on it a little more. |

| Reading over this again, I realize that there are a lot of typoes, and mistakes in there. Not to mention that it's difficult to read in the first place. I apologize for that. |

| Oh, sure, hackers "Will rule the world", that really sounds threatening… Hackers can only rule the world of electronics, But not milions of people hack. Its not as easy as it sounds, and trying to rule the "world" with hacking just sounds plain stupid. |

This thread is all too true.
Harsher punishment indeed must be taken.

| Well, this is ROBLOX's biggest issue in my opinion. So I'm really hoping that by this point, they actually listen. |

I'm pretty sure ROBLOX has done what they can to stop exploits. Most of the ways have been removed (I would know), and changing in-game values is a rare occurrence now. |

The thing that I hear the most is account hackers and I think THAT should also be looked into.
