(x-17) + 4 > 2
First, get rid of the parenthesis to clear up the problem.
x-17 + 4 > 2
Now add together like terms (-17 + 4)
x-13 > 2
Add 13 to both sides
x-13 > 2 +13 +13
x > 15
Your final answer is x > 15 |

16-17=-1+4= 3>2 18-17=1+4=5>2
No, you're wrong. If you're wondering why, it's x has to be greated than equal to 16. Also, 12-17+4=-1... so why would you think that's right |
