| The Google Native Client will soon allow C and C++ programs to be ported and embedded into webpages, without sacrificing much speed. They will also be almost completely cross-platform. Just thought you guys might like to know. |

I played around with it a lot when they showcased it at GDC. While it seems to be coming along great, I am not convinced, yet. Btw, check out Adobe Alchemy.

| Alchemy looks nice, yet it still uses the Flash platform which is pretty bloated. And I don't think it fully compiles to native machine code? It says it compiles to some sort of AS 3 bytecode... |

I am certain it compiles to AS3 byte code, but currently runs at 40% native speed, and their aim is to make it to 80% native speed! Unreal games in a browser! Can't wait. Unlike Native Client which runs Opengl ES if I am not mistaken, running AAA games in the browser, in my opinion, is the future.

| I don't think compiled applications should run in browsers, but that sure is a nice feature. |

| Why do you think so? They run in a sandboxed environment. |

C++ + Browser = My HD breathing a sigh of relief because it no longer has to deal with downloading 7 billion enormous clients.
80% native speed in a browser for a compiled language is ridiculous. That's like Roblox working and being lagless. |

I don't really hate it, I just find it has a few flaws and there's much to improve. |

Wait... that's quite the fallacy. You still have to download the stuff onto your HD just the same, and with the same or even greater size if you expect the same experience... it's just hidden from you and handled by the NaCl code. |

Dos it work liek this:
1.Press "play" on browser 2.Rowser loads gaim 3.Rowser launches gaim 4.Gaim uses fancy dll to render the stuff on the right spot on the browser
