Hello. I originally had a similar post to this one, but, no one was posting on it... I figure it was because of its length. So now, I'm going to rewrite it, including a TL;DR version AT THE BOTTOM.
****NOTE NOTE NOTE LOOK LOOK LOOK YOU DUNDERHEADED COCONUTS**** THE TL;DR VERSION IS AT THE BOTTOM! BOTTOM! BOTTOM! CAN I MAKE THAT ANY CLEARER!? ****END OF NOTE NOTE NOTE STOP LOOKING LOOKING LOOKING DUNDERHEADED COCONUTS****
Right.
Now, the idea. As most of us know already, item commentaries in the Catalog are absolutely OVERFLOWING with spam. Most of that is, "Copy & Paste this message on 5 other hats and you'll get a 10000000 ROBUX" etc. I believe I have a rather efficient way of putting that to an end.
Next to a comment, there will be a new button that says, "Report as Spam." This is quite different from the report button, as you'll soon see. When you click on this button, a menu pops up, with a box to type in a description, and also a paragraph or two explaining what this button is to be used for.
Now, say that a user spotted a comment which the text inside of it was;
"Copy & Paste this message on 5 hats to get 10000000 ROBUX and Tickets! THIS IS NOT FAKE! Do this now and you'll be rich!" The user would then click "Report as Spam." After that, he would then proceed to type in a description of the comment. Then, he would send it to the moderators.
If the moderators deem it as spam (which the given example is), then not only would the comment be deleted, but ANY AND EVERY SINGLE COMMENT that uses the same text would also be deleted. If they don't deem it as spam, nothing happens.
Now, I want you to listen very carefully before you start criticizing:
1. Yes, I know that people can just type a period or a comma in the message and get around the block! BUT, then it is very likely that THAT comment will ALSO get deleted. This process continues until there are almost no possibilities of spam left.
2. Currently, there are few different varieties of that type of spam. When it gets removed, which should happen fairly quickly, newbies won't copy it. That will reduce the amount of spam automatically to a very small amount. The next joker who comes along and tries to make a new spam message, well, that will ALSO get kicked out.
3. You have to be patient. It might take a while to slaughter the majority of spam, but I figure that's better than nothing.
TL;DR VERSION:
There will be a button beside comments that says, "Report as Spam." If a user uses this button on a comment, it is sent to the mods. If the moderators say it is spam, the comment will be deleted, and any comment of similar text will also be deleted. This will work because even if people try to get around the block, their spam too will likely be deleted.
Now, I kind of rushed this post, as I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I may of left out some key points, or made some spelling mistakes. Thanks for reading! |

| Support. For the start though, maybe the mods could make it so you can't comment any of those spam messages. Then when people start posting new ones, the mods can do the suggestion you said. |

Sorry, punkster, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to call you on not reading the whole post.
If you didn't notice, I included that these reports will be sent to the moderators. They are definitely not going to remove anything that says, "it's not a very good place." |

Maybe, you never know. I once saw an ad that has cussing, yet they accepted it.

@punkster
That's a result of the Image Mods bungling their work (though we shouldn't be too harsh on them - they only get about a second to check everything anyways). The mods who check the reports are not going to make that mistake. |

| How about ROBLOX making a spam blacklist, so that way, spammers that post spam comments, will not be accepted and rather deleted, and if they do it 3 more times, they get banned. |

@Kyle
That's pretty much the same as my idea, only, my idea blocks them the first time. |
