Think about this:
Back in the 60's at the height of the Cold War (I guess the height is an arguable time...), we dropped bombs from planes.
The nukes couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, that is why we made them big enough to take out 50 barns...
But now, we have nukes (Missiles) with not as much power, but think about this:
Accuracy>Power
When you have a 5.56MM Bullet, it may not be as powerful as big brother 7.62MM, but it is arguably more accurate. Anyway, as long as you can hit the head, you will kill your target.
LOOK THAT ANALOGY MAKES LITTLE TO NO SENSE BUT BASICALLY THE ACCURACY MAKES UP FOR THE POWER. |

But if you hit the Eiffel tower you could destroy Paris.
You are missing the point.
The nukes are still powerful, but are also more accurate. |

There not as powerful
Nukes are made to destroy not hit specific things
Nukes are losing power
From 9 megatons to 1.2
Next it'll be half a megaton left |

| Nukes don't need to be accurate. They have a big margin of error. |

| The only real point of having nukes is to have more power than those with few or no nukes or to have something to threaten the other with. |

The 7.62 is a also a very accurate sniper round. One of the most popular ones actually.

Actually, I believe you would need at least 1MT yield to take out Paris. |
