Africa. What a barren place. Dry flatlands and steaming jungles. Add in a couple swamps and marshes, too. Not the most appealing place to live. But life is abound. Three towns have footholds here. Each with a separate warlord, each wanting to rule this small sector of land. Why? Because someone discovered diamond deposits. Yes, diamonds. Whichever warlord who controlled the whole sector will have enough materials to set up a mine for diamond harvesting, get rich, and expand. Simple. But of course it isn't as easy as it sounds. Kuzxan, Tyhandra, and Lenkomgo, the three warlords, are hesitant on waging a total war on each other. None of them have enough manpower and total war would have a lot of casualties, both soldier and civilian, and then the UN would come knocking on the door. Not only that, the more soldiers they recruit, the more money they need to buy medicine for them all, as this sector is also the most mosquito-infested anyone has ever seen, and malaria runs rampant. And there's always the people who think they can outsmart the warlords. They make off with a rough diamond or two, and once they think they're safe, the plan goes wrong and they meet a fatal end. But of course, they're cautious, and diamonds have been buried all over the land. Mercenaries often come in and work for the warlords or for themselves, pillaging and selling diamonds for profit. But it's all going to change soon.

Very soon.

~MAP~
The sector is divided into 9 districts. District 1 is North-west, District 2 is North, District 3 is North-east, and so on and so forth. Each district has a number of Strongholds, Guardposts, and Camps. Like so:

----------------I---------------------I-----------------
--{1}---------*I--------------*-----I-----*----------
--------[1]-----I-----*--------------I-----------------
----------------I---------------{1}--I----------*---{2}
=========I============I==========
------------{1}I------{3}-----------I--------------*--
------*---------I----------------*----I-----{2}---------
----------------I---------[3]---------I-----------------
------------*---I---*-----------------I-----------*-----
----------------I-----------------{3}I-----------------
=========I============I==========
----------*-----I---------------------I-----------------
-{1}-----------I-------------*-------I--------[2]-------
---------*------I----*----------------I----*---------{2}
----------------I----------{2}--------I-----------------

{}=Stronghold
[]=Town
*=Camp

1=Controlled By Kuzxan
2=Controlled By Tyhandra
3=Controlled by Lenkomgo

I=Border
==Border

Guardposts are not listed, as they are very numerous. The most fortified ones control the borders of each of the districts. Strongholds are bases for warlord armies. Kuzxan controls the District 1 Town, Moku. Tyhandra controls the District 9 Town, Alap. Lenkomgo controls the District 5 Town, Isfandho. Camps are smaller versions of Strongholds, and sometimes populated by mercs. These act as rest spots for mercenaries and travelers. Camps are supported by the Underground, a faction that cares for the citizens, not riches.

~WARLORDS~

For now, the warlords have all, by sheer luck, got on airplanes and flown to see about their interests in other lands. As such, they left the managing of their armies to groups of generals. Kuzxan's armies are few, but skilled in use of sniper-rifles and assault-rifles, as well as using flamethrowers and explosives. They control the flatland area, moving quickly by the use of armed pick-up trucks. Tyhandra's armies are many, but poorly trained and poorly-equipped. They are somewhat skilled in using shotguns and sub-machine guns, with an abundance of boats due to the amount of rivers in their jungle land. Lenkomgo has a medium-sized army that is a well-trained killing force. They excel with all types of weaponry and churn out IEDs for defense on the borders. The only reason they haven't won is because of the pressure of being caught between two other forces, Tyhandra's anvil and Kuzxan's hammer. They put up a good fight but have the smallest plot of land, a marsh-land. They are also the only army equipped with armor and 50 caliber machinegun emplacements, as well as MK-19 mounted grenade launchers. The other warlords can only afford M249 SAWs.

~WEAPONS~

Weapon dealers will sell weapons at a price. The weapons off warlord soldiers tend to be rusty and prone to jamming or breakdowns. Weapon dealers have much better equipment.

Assault Rifles

G3KA4 - Fairly weak weapon with acceptable accuracy, most common weapon, so ammo is abundant.

AK47 - Rather powerful but massive recoil. Pretty common, so ammo is abundant.

FAL Paratrooper - Fast-firing and effective, these are often seen in use by captains.

AR-16 - Burst-fire assault rifle, powerful and accurate, but ammo is scarce, so use wisely, as these are hard to come by. Some weapon dealers do not stock these.

Shotguns

Homeland 37 - Pump-action shotgun, very common among the Underground soldiers for defense against marauding bands of bandits. Powerful, but you're more likely to hit the person next to whoever you were aiming at. This may be a good thing, though.

Spas 12 - Semi-automatic shotgun, common, but not very. A bit less powerful than the Homeland, but more shot per trigger-pull.

USAS-12 - Full-auto shotgun, very good crowd clearer, but rare. Lots of spray and lots of pain.

Sniper Rifles

M1903 - Most accurate sniper rifle available, but slowest too. Very powerful, but breaks easily, so be careful. Bolt-action.

Dragunov SVD - Semi-auto sniper rifle. Effective, but rare.

AS50 - Awesome sniper rifle, will pass clean through one body and hit the next. But beware of the massive noise and recoil.

Sidearms

Makarov PM - Cheapest pistol available, you'll see it in wide use. Weak, and not very accurate. Can be equipped with a silencer.

Star .45 - Spanish version of the Colt .45, not as much power, but a bit better than the Makarov. Common.

Desert Eagle - Powerful magnum pistol, very rare. Lots of power but also lots of recoil.

MAC-10 - Small SMG, a big ammo-waster. Not accurate but it's a like bullet-hose.

Uzi - Small SMG, not so much ammo wasted, and a bit more power, but more rare.

MP5 - Larger SMG, this is a rare and powerful SMG, and effectively the best sidearm available. Fairly powerful and can be equipped with a silencer.

M79 Grenade Launcher - Easy to carry, this lobber can pack a punch. But it's really only good for flushing out fortified positions.

IED - This improvised explosive device sends a lot of dirt into the air when set off, but the boom still gets through. Something like a mine.

Flare Gun - This is often used for signaling, but can be directed at enemies to blind them or set things on fire.

Other (Note: These are all very rare.)

PKM - A machinegun you can carry around. What more can you ask for?

M249 - This is a real bullet-hose, and unlike the MAC-10, it can actually hit people.

RPG-7 - Common rocket launcher, though usually fired then thrown away, but can be re-used.

Carl-Gustav - A recoil-less rifle, technically. Think RPG with the ability to guide the rocket. What's more to be said?

Dart Rifle - It shoots darts with neuro-toxin in it. Silent killer. Prone to jamming.

LPO-50 Flamethrower - Big fire starter, more effective as a terror weapon, panicking your opponents.

Type 63 Mortar - It's like an explosive sniper. Biggest boom out of all the weapons available, but really hard to use effectively.

MGL-140 - A semi-automatic grenade launcher. It'll give someone a headache.

Grenades

M67 - Frag grenade, a touch rare.

Molotovs - Real easy to make and find. Often used in the flatlands.

Further Notes of Importance:

You must lodge a petition for a "rare" weapon if you want one. Depending on your background RPing skills I will decide whether or not to award you one. Rusty and dirty weapons are prone to jamming, while weapon dealers will sell new versions. Weapons you start out with are automatically in a slightly damaged state. Weapons picked up by soldiers are usually horribly rusty and not recommended to use unless in an emergency. The only weapons you will probably find in good condition in enemy hands are rare weapons, but can still wear out. It is highly recommended to carry some form of melee weaponry. The following are considered "rare", those with a * star next to it are very rare and only found by purchasing through a weapon dealer or defeating a general.

FAL Paratrooper
AR-16*
USAS-12*
Dragunov SVD
AS50*
Desert Eagle
MP5*
M79 Grenade Launcher
PKM
M249
RPG-7
Carl-Gustav*
Dart Rifle
LPO-50 Flamethrower
Type 63 Mortar*
MGL-140*

Malaria is rampant through this land and the Underground is the only source of malaria pills to halt the disease for a momentary time. The Underground sells malaria pills to those who agree to escort civilians from the towns to the airport half a day's journey north, as there are roaming bandits and lesser warlords who would like to prey on these such caravans. You can also buy malaria pills from foreign sources.

Weapon Dealers also barter contracts for bodyguards that can assist you. However, you must outfit them better weapons if you want. Weapon Dealers will keep stockpiles of your weapons, so don't worry.

Bodyguards

Peasant - No Training, Armed with Homeland 37 and Makarov PM. $250

Grunt - Poor Training, Armed with G3KA4/Homeland 37 and Makarov PM. $500

Soldier - Good Training, Armed with AK47/Spas 12/M1903 and Star .45. Carries Molotovs. $750

Mercenary - Battle-hardened, Armed with FAL Paratrooper/Spas 12/Dragunov SVD and Desert Eagle/MAC-10. Carries M67 Grenades. $1000

If a Bodyguard survives attacking a Stronghold they will "level up" and become more effective in battle.
Peasent to Grunt and so on.

((Yayyy.)

Name: Marcus Williams
Ag/e: 37
Gender: Male.

Appearance: Marcus stands at 5'5, his build athletic from his hardships. He carries a strong, natural tan, marred by many, many scars. The largest is a burn upon his face, caused during his crash.

Marcus's hair is shaved.

Clothing: Short-sleeved tan shirt, camouflage pants, work boots, fingerless gloves.

Armor: Flimsy kevlar vest, basically good for stopping maybe a single bullet.

Transportation: A dented old red truck.

Occupation: Sniper.

Weaponry
-Primary: AS50
-Secondary: Makarov.
-Special: Machete.
Other: None.

Inventory: Cig/arettes, lighter, safety goggles, water canteen, a backpack with camping supplies, and extra ammo for his rifle.

Bio: Marcus was, at one point in his life, an American citizen. What's more, he was a fairly wealthy one. Forging his wealth from several lucky streaks in Gambling, Marcus lived the luxury life.

Part of this luxury, he had decided, would be exotic trips. On one such exotic trip aimed for Africa, at the ag/e of 25, his plane was shot down when it was mistaken for the plane of a rival Warlord.

Marcus, by pure luck, survived the crash with horrid burns and wounds from shrapnel. It took him several months to recover. During these months, he read the same books over and over, watched the same movies over and over, and listened to the same people over, and over. These people were mercenaries, these books manuals, and these movies documentaries.

Marcus was disgusted, but enraptured, by the life of a Mercenary, but knew it was only a dream. He settled, instead, for simply working in the mines, stranded within Africa with no one coming for him.

Within a few weeks, however, Marcus's luck turned up. He had decided, on a whim, to try digging outside for once. After several hours, he struck something: A brilliant diamond, hidden away by one of the Warlords. There were many things Marcus could have done with this diamond. He could have escaped, or bought yet another life of luxury, in Africa at least.

He decided to buy his rifle, and enter the business of Sniper work. While he was at first terrible at his job, Marcus's skill, and with that his reputation, quickly grew and spread.

And now, several years later, a battle-hardened veteran, Marcus is almost back where he started. Low on funds due to having to pay off several debts, and with barely anything in the ways of armor, Marcus has been searching for work rather desperately. He has no money to his name at the moment.

Other: He still moves with somewhat of a limp from the crash.

Name: Stanley Avernin
A.ge: Forty-two.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: His hair is dark and lengthy, a bit of a chestnut color. His eyes are a light blue, almost resembling the color of the sea. His skin is dark after years of working outside in the heat. He is of a muscular build due to lifting many heavy objects in his previous line of work. He is taller than most men his age, standing at six-foot-three. He has a beard covering the lower half of his face.
Clothing: He wears a dusty, plain white T-shirt with side pockets carrying clips of ammunition. Over this shirt is a jungle camo vest with two pockets, each one carrying a crude throwing knife. His jeans are a dark brown (or at least they look that way, with how dirty they are) and there is a tool belt wrapping his waist. The tool belt carries everything in the 'Inventory' section. He has two holsters, carrying the items in the 'Weaponry' section. His boots are what you would commonly find on the body of a mine worker. He also wears two fingerless work-out gloves.
Armor: The vest over his T-shirt has padding that defends against bullets. Otherwise, he has no armor.
Transportation: He drives a military-issued motorcycle.
Occupation: Stanley is a man sent to work undercover with the warlords and gather intelligence for the U.N. Due to devotion to his line of work, Stanley will try his hardest to act just like the others working for the warlords. He will kill their enemies, due what they ask, everything. But in the end he will attempt to stab them all in the back and report back to his employers. He is currently undercover, working for Tyhandra.
Weaponry
-Primary: Star .45 (this is a primary because my character prefers to dual-wield his weapons. If this isn't allowed, please tell me.)
-Secondary: Desert Eagle (if you will allow it.)
-Special: Two crudely-fashioned throwing knives (if you will allow it.)
Inventory: A lockpick, a wire cutting tool, and a canteen.
Bio: Stanley started out as a lowly biker, riding in a gang. He always wanted to make more out of his life. He applied as a government agent at the age of thirty-four, hoping to get in. Surprisingly, he was accepted as he proved remarkable skill in survival and working undercover. Years passed by and he was finally sent on his final mission: aiding each warlord and gathering information. He underestimated the task and he will soon regret accepting the job.
Other: He prefers to dual-wield two small weapons rather than use one big one.

[Kurt]

I stopped to look at my newly customized Jeep Wrangler. I removed the back two seats and added a .30 Caliber Browning. I also hefted the suspension for the added weight. Next on my list was to add some Dual M249 SAW's on the side. But I needed an Engineer for those. Oh well. I threw the rag on my workbench and picked up my cellphone. "Sure." I replied. "Give me a few minutes to gear up." I finished.

Name: Jacob 'Jackal' Mubarak
A.ge: 31
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jacob Mubarak stands at a respectable 5' 11", with a thin, slightly muscled build and a lightly tanned, rather pale complexion, his hair black and kept rather untidy and hanging to his shoulders, his face relatively clean shaven except for some clinging stubble on the chin and upper lip. His face has swirling black Egyptian tattoos around the eyes, made to resemble those sometimes seen on depictions of Anubis.
Clothing: Jacob wears a pair of heavy denim cargo jeans, tucked loosely into a pair of old khaki military surplus combat boots, and held up with three leather belts, two of which hang loose with a pistol and revolver holster attached, along with small cuts for single rounds of pistol ammunition. Under his Stab Vest he wears a button-up cream shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, and the top and bottom two buttons undone. Over all this he wears a long, mid-calf length dusty overcoat, kept open and loose. His head is covered by a stolen S10 Gas Mask. (No filter, no Ballistic Protection.) Hands covered by black construction worker's gloves.
Armor: Civilian Issue Stab Vest, Jury Rigged with Scrap Iron strapped with a belt over the back and chest. Scrap Iron Jury rigged to Right Shoulder and back of gloves, and also on the boots. Scrap Iron stitched to the outside of Coat. (Scrap Iron here is the thin Sheet Iron given out for making homes. It's very thin and won't do much good against a bullet above a .22 or maybe an underloaded 9mm.)
Transportation: An Aged 1954 Triumph T110 650 cc motorcycle, painted black and equipped with a Rifle Holster and scrap iron armouring.
Occupation: Enforcer
Weaponry
-Primary: AK47
-Secondary: PM Makarov
-Special: Colt Single Action Army 'Anubis' .44 Magnum Custom
Inventory: 1 Spare Metal AK47 Magazine, 1 Spare PM Makarov Magazine, Six .44 Magnum Rounds, Flashlight with strap for Jury Rig attachment to weaponry, Aluminium Water Canteen.
Bio: 'Jackal' considers himself a Modern Day Cowboy, an Enforcer for Hire who will take down anyone, for a price. He hails from northern Egypt, born to an English Father and a Russian Mother, and raised by an odd mix of Culture. He learned how to fire a weapon when a School Mate bought an Airsoft Rifle, and he quickly acquired one of his own, getting an Air Rifle at 21 and beginning to do some small hunting, before eventually raising the stakes at 24 with Manslaughter. Afraid of the consequences, he fled south-west to Central Africa and picked up some proper Weapons with what money he had, beginning his work as an enforcer for any who would hire him. His prized 'Anubis' Revolver came into his possession at the age of 27, and became his calling card, the empty shell casings left where he killed as a warning, stamped by the customised hammer with his mark, an Egyptian Ankh.
Other: Revolver and Ammunition is saved for Targets of Special Interest or Circumstance, for example a Personal Target.
