| If an American company makes profits in the United Kingdom, that does not add to the American GDP. But a different measure, GNP, measures foreign business of domestic companies. |

American company makes money in United States
That adds to American GDP
American company makes money in United Kingdom
That does not add to American GDP
but
American company makes money in United States
That adds to GNP
American company makes money in United Kingdom
That also adds to GNP |

So anything that American company earns in any country goes to Americas GNP? |
