With Jason Campbell being done for the year with a collarbone injury, the Raiders are pushing hard to acquire disgruntled QB Carson Palmer before Tuesday’s league trading deadline. However, a league source told Cole that it was highly unlikely it would happen.
The Raiders are one of the AFC’s surprise teams at 4-2 and have to be considered a contender in the AFC West since it is a weak division. Palmer and Raiders head coach Hue Jackson have a long history together. Jackson helped recruit Palmer to Southern Cal and Jackson was the Bengals receivers coach for three seasons (2004-06).
However the Raiders are lacking in draft picks next year (second-fourth) and if Brown has been unwilling to trade Palmer up until now, why would he deal him to a contender?

As in c/p I mean copy and paste.
Just letting the mods know that I'm not talking about a certain banned game. |

They have tried for Palmer but will not get him... Mike Brown is too stubborn to let go of Palmer and David Garrard is out of the picture cause he needs back surgery.
All in all, Oakland will have to look elsewhere. |

| Yeah I don't see it either, i will be very shocked if Palmer comes to Oakland. Looks like Kyle Boller and Terrelle Pryor(onces hes active) are gonna battle it out. |
