| Popcorn and gum. Those are the only things you can't eat. You might not want to eat carmel either but I don't know. Also the orthodontist will probably tell you,you cant eat chewy things but its a lie. When I had braces I ate chewy stuff all the time and nothing happened. |

I could chew gum.
My orthodontist incouraged it but it had to be sugarless.
But yeah, you cant eat popcorn or anything hard that will make the brackets break off.
If you get rubber bands make sure to wear them.
If you dont you have to have braces for longer.
If you do you can get your braces off early like me. |

The ortho told me I am getting rubber bands.
Oh and I did get a list to make sure if I wasn't aware of any things I can't eat. |

| Reeses are fine, most candy is. Even the chewy stuff, just make sure it's soft and eat it quickly then chew it. |

| Eh, I have spacers. Anything chewy that might rip them off, no. You can eat reese's. You can eat anything somewhat related to the cheese in macoroni and cheese. Nothing chewy. Oh, and eat soft foods for the first 5-7 days. You need to get used to the metal. It will hurt like heck if you eat anything hard. |

| Stay away from anything sticky. Suck on the hard things. No popcorn or gum, like above. And get green ones if you can. :) |

| Popcorn isn't hard. However though, I would not encourage it for the first few days braces. |

Here's the WHOLE list.
The CRUST of the PIZZA, is the best part, and the place where, the bent wires start.
HARD ROLLS and PRETZELS and BAGELS and BONES, knock off the brackets and wires, so leave them alone.
DORITOS and TACOS and all the rest will form a hard ball...make your braces a mess.
POPCORN and movies are fun for all, but the pain that it causes, is no fun at all.
NUTS are always, very good too, but we'll have to say, NO nuts to you.
BEEF JERKY and SLIM JIMS are fun to eat, but for wrecking your braces they're hard to beat.
RIBS and MEATS that are on the BONE...the kind of foods, you should leave alone.
RAW CARROTS and rabbits go together well, and the damage it causes is easy to tell.
SUCKERS are always a sweet delight, but damage your braces if you ever bite.
CARMEL CANDY, JU-JU BEANS and ALL GUMS, is a gooey mess, and lots of fun. But they pull off the brackets, and feed your bacteria, so my good friend, don't let it get near ya.
PENS and PENCILS, are food for thought, but try to think of, the havoc they wrought.
ICE...is nice in the heat we all know, but they destroy all your braces, a thousands times NO.
Eating these foods will loosen the braces, with delays in both Treatment and improvement of faces. So avoid these foods, whether girl or boy, for your new healthy smile, will give us all joy. The braces won't last, forever you know, and when it's all over.. YES-YES not NO-NO.
PLEASE POST ON YOUR REGRIGERATOR DOOR!! |
