So there's this class at my high school I want to get into. It supposedly teaches C++ and True BASIC.
So a teacher is trying to get me into that class, and the teacher is all like NO. NO! NO FRESHMAN ALLOWED. So she's all like, explaining what I can do and she's all like NO! Then I meet with her and she's all like thers not enuff room, i cant just get rid of some1. ths is STRUCTURED PROGRAMING, thats wat we do her.e. So I'm all like ok and leave.
Then I tell that teacher what she said, and she's all like :(!!!!!!! and gets all like mad at her. So then in the middle of this class, I finally understood what she was trying to say. "Structured programming" means actual programming, which apparently she thought I wasn't doing. She has this issue with me where she thinks that, being a freshman, I am incompetent and can't handle the logic and intelligence required to do anything complicated.
What should I do to make this noob realize that I'm for real? She doesn't believe the teacher when she's trying to explain what I can do. |

| Obviously show her some of your work. Also the programming class is a total blow-off. |

Tell her to get back in the kitchen.
Or just tell her to ask you something about programming. Maybe show her a program that you've made. :l |

| She knows twelve (useless) languages, including True BASIC, Java, C# and C++. She's obviously good enough, but the class is about MS Visual C++. Is that worth it? |

At least you HAVE programming classes. The only somewhat-close-but-not-really programming class we have is Web Page Design, which barely teaches you HTML and no Javascript or CSS. I learned those myself and made awesome websites for the class. Other than that, we have no computer science type classes.

I was let into a programming class my freshman year of HS. Of course, it was only teaching QBasic and Visual Basic. Those two classes were easy A's of course, but still :U
This year, AP Computer Science, we started Java. Two years ago it was C++ :(
(As for it being too hard for freshman, that's just stupid. There are seniors in my class that have no idea what they're doing, and refer to most of us Sophomores on what to do. This was even true for QBasic :I) |

BIOS is basically the controller of hardware settings. And you can change administrator p@$$w0rdz from it :D

Java, C#, and C++ aren't useless....
Java wasn't useless until Oracle came in a F'd it up..... I liked it better when it was controlled by Sun.... |
