After watching some Roblox movies It finally came to me...
The one thing that makes Roblox movies not awesome?
SPECIAL EFFECTS.
For example, you want a war scene. Sure, you can make people die or be ragdolls, but how will you make Bombs falling and exploding or mortars?
Sure, you could always make actors shoot some place with a Fastrocket, or use a real plane with a real bomb. But, this deals many Challenges. for example, the actors may be stupid and drop bombs on everyone, or the bomb may deal much structural damage. the one solution is to use SCRIPTS.

So here's what, consult me with the name of the movie, and what kinds of Special Effects you need. NO PAYMENT NEEDED. I'd be happy to add explosions, fire, bombs, and more into your movie. I'll consult you later with the stuff you ordered.
THIS IS NOT A SCAM. IT IS HELP FROM A SCRIPTER.

This sounds interesting. But do you script the effects and make them into a model? Or how do you do it?

Because I'm stuck on making a scene where a room suddenly fills with smoke and all of a sudden catches on fire. So it's more of a fire scene. But everything just doesn't work out. Do you think you have the capability of doing that?

Maybe I should explain this in more detail. The room fills with smoke for about 10 seconds, then bursts into flames. Is that possible?

@jake
If its just you in a room, go into build mode, stand in the room, pause, add a smoke brick, wait for room to fill up, pause, then add a fire brick.

Yep, It is possible. By linking the smoke and fire to switches outside the room you can make an active fire scene, and I could also make the ceiling collapse too.

This sounds cool. Could you make this effect? I will credit you at the end if you don't mind.

PS:Send me a pm telling which Special effects you want and how you want to control em.(Buttons? Clicks? If so, a button for each effect? or one button leading to a lot?) also you can get the models at my Profile, see your inbox to see when you can get it. Instructions will be included inside the model.

"don't care, troll..."

actually I use After Effects and 3DS Max for most of my effects

i'm beginning to love the fact that when someone becomes upset at another they label them as a troll to help restore their confidence towards themselves

If you use After Effects then stick with it, I don't need your orders. Try asking for props, see if I care.

You know, I think the most efficient way to make roblox effects, is actually edit them in during the editing.
Basically take freddiew for example, they don't add the effects into the scene, but edit them in afterwards. This technique is more efficient because it saves the lag problems(if there are any) and you can easily manipulate them, like if you don't like the position you choosed 5 minutes ago, you can always change it instead of filming the entire thing again.

please also see the fact that without a customizable particle physics engine this endeavour becomes even less viable in a situation

I don't expect anyone to make a particle physics engine SDK tools and what not just for roblox.
Effects do not have to be done in programs, you can actually make them:

If you ever needed explosions and have Adobe programs or Sony vegas you can film an exploding firecracker on a very dark background or completely black, then put this footage over the clip, manipulate it by size, color or placement and then set the clip to 'screen' blending option and you have a little fun explosion in your video.
I suggest using fire crackers or any exploding holiday products for these things because they are the most natural you can find.
You should take a note that it is REAL pyrotechnics, so if you are going to do that you better know how to safely detonate fireworks.

Also firecrackers are considerabley the 'safest' detonations to use, but still need to be used with caution.
But then again if you have the programs and materials and don't want to endager yourself, might as well use them.

I'm confused by this.

Anyone who knows how to make a good action movie would know how to do proper effects.

If someone messes up you do it again until they get it right. Such as my Futuristic Football video.

@Bobby

We are talking about visual special effects, my point was that you don't need to film the pyrotechnics WITH the scene.

Very true but for people without editors like After Effects and Sony Vegas using I think I do well without them.

Sometimes effects you edited in though look very fake.

If someone doesn't know how to add in visual effects in After Effects, this is a way to make em. So If you can use After effects then use that, since it is probably better than my way. Im just givin help to the people who don't know how to edit.

Also to make movies "Roblox Style" or remake em, you need the effects to be made in Roblox as well, so Maybe My way has some use...

"Sometimes effects you edited in though look very fake."

Again, that really depends on what FX packs you are using and how you use them.

@joohomom

You can easily do the effects in Lua, but I think that the roblox effects cannot satisfy you in the finished product.
Some effects do not exist in roblox and some just are not suitable in the wya they look, so it's best to sometimes rely(I CAN'T TYPE!!!) on FX packs or make them somehow.
A program called "Game maker" has a really good potential to be a particle creation program btw.

But then again yeah, if you don't have the tools you cannot rely on these things, but if you do have the proffesional tools then use that method.

You are right some people do not have or cannot use these programs, that's why I mentioned in the start "IF you have them", And those who are reading this and do not know how to use these type of programs, get them and mess around with them, in about 2-5 weeks you should know the very basic tools.
