List who you think the best military currently is
In my opinion, it goes something like this when it comes to offensive strength:
1: United States of America 2: China 3: Israel 4: China 5: United Kingdom 6: Germany 7: Cuba 8: Russia 9: South Korea 10: North Korea
When it comes to defensive strength: 1: Russia 2: United States of America 3: North Korea 4: South Korea 5: China 6: Israel 7: Vietnam 8: Iran 9: India 10: Brazil
Discuss, and post your own lists if you'd like |

China has no ability to attack a country overseas destroying it's offensive ability.
Cuba will be destroyed in a day or week by most countries that have a navy to land troops.
Defensive
China,Russia and usa citizens have guns so sure.In people in China and russia pretty much are they're own military since people have built fully operational tanks they're.
Iran and vietnam are still advancing

Aidar listed the best militaries in the world, and google them if you dont believe. The list is made up of strong armies, with huge fire power and capabilities even to invade Antarctica if they want (first three ones [best ones])
Quote from the fan forum of Luxembourgish special forces and marines:
"Luxembourg has participated as a powerful, and a founding member in the Eurocorps since 1961. It has contributed more troops to the UNPROFOR, to the ISAF, to NATO,to BRIAC and IFOR missions than any other country in Europe. The Luxembourg marine force is integrated into the Multinational Beluga KFOR Force under Luxembourgish General Army command.
Luxembourg troops have also been deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen and Somalia since the beginning of the war on terrorism. The Luxembourg navy has successfully freed and supported the oil tankers and the ships from the Somalian pirates.
Luxembourg has financially and militarily supported international peacekeeping missions of the UN, including United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO), United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), United Nations Mission in the Sudan (UNMIS), United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS), United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT), United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) and, more recently in United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). The army also has participated in humanitarian relief missions such as setting up refugee camps for redugees in Afghanistan, Albania, Iraq, Sudan, Chad, Congo, Haiti, Timor, Indonesia, Libya, Liberia, Western Sahara and Mexico, while providing emergency supplies and medical treatment for the people of need."

@Liby
I've not kept up on Luxembourg's special forces, but I know that it's got less than 2,000 military troops, which would severely limit it's chances.
The fact that it's completely surrounded by other countries and is a dot on the map doesn't help. |

From wiki:
The Luxembourg Army is the national military of Luxembourg. The Luxembourg Army was separated from the Force Publique (Public Force) which included the Gendarmerie and the Police. The Gendarmerie was merged into the Grand Ducal Police in 2000 while the Border Guard in 2003.[1] The army has been an all-volunteer force since 1967.[2] It has a current strength of approximately 430 000 professional soldiers, 360 000 enlisted recruits and 10 000 civilians, and a total budget of $721 million, or 3% of GDP. [3] Currently there are available and/or fit for military service 300 000. [4][5][6]
The fact that it's completely surrounded by other countries and is a dot on the map doesn't help. __ Size matters only for girls. |

| The Luxembourg Army is so small it could be wiped out in a friendly-fire incident. |

"approximately 430 000 professional soldiers, 360 000 enlisted recruits"
Luxembourg's population is only around 500,000 people total
There is no way they could have 800,000 soldiers
You, sir, have failed. |
