| I use terrain, before you say I am unoriginal though, note that I design my terrains entirely on my own.. Take a look at my place.. Completely designed by ME. So, exactly how, in my use, is terrain bad? |

@Pauljkl
I understand where you are coming from, but I design the terrain all on my own. Yes, Admins did create the tools for it, but they aren't the one's reforming the terrain. |

but all you did was design how the terrain looked? Doesn't seem very hard compared to actually building or scripting your own terrain |

| I spent two hours thinking up the game I'm making, re-formatting the terrain to my liking, editing the TG and TG tool scripts to do tasks I wanted them to do, and then doing the very small details. I am a user who doesn't just click "Generate terrain" then insert a few free models, and makes it to the front page, I am the kind who puts work into something that doesn't need much. See. Now, what is wrong with how I am using it. |

I generate terrain, go into build mode and modify it to my liking, then go back into studio mode and design the buildings and details.
Terrain is nice, but it's not the defining aspect of a place. Atleast it'll stop some people from making their places terrain a empty baseplate... |

| No, I made this to ask why people are raging over terrain, when some people are actually creative with it. I was just using myself as an example.... |

| Because all those noobs are too lazy to make their own terrain and then the lazy noob gets on front page and not the guy who worked his butt off scripting. |

| Terrain is basicly a Free Model. If you take a free model, change it a little and publish it as your own, it's noobish. |

1: Yesterday I went to telamon's sample terrain, and it was way to laggy. 2: It is completely un-original, even though you made it, hundreds of thousands of places use a very similar terrain (via the generator) 3: It can almost be considered a free model, becuase you did not use anything you built your own. An object created by you is not using any of the new plugins. Only the old ones, like resize, move on axis, paint bucket. YOu didn't even create the textures yourself. |

| Go to my place, and look at it.. No terrain generation setting can generate it. And, just because the generator is new, that's what causes it to be excluded from the group of tools (resize, move, etc.), and it isn't laggy for me at all.. Also, As I said before, I pretty much re-created the plugins for my own use. |

| You still used the terrain and just used the tools to shape it to your liking. |

No, Terrain Is Not Bad. It Takes Alot Of Skill To Use Terrein To Someone's Likeing. I Seen Your Place, The Terrain Looks Like You Took Alot Of Time Into It. You Did A Good Job.

| But with all the work he put into it, he might as well just make the terrain handscratch. |

| You might as well complain for people using a single brick in a place and publishing it, since the bricks were created by the admins, which means you used something created by someone else. |
