Everyone loves hats, am I right? In my opinion. Top hats, hair hats, seasonal hats, etc, etc. What some of you didn't know is that each hat is inserted with a script. No, the hats don't have special powers.
The script is used for the hat to stay on top of the user. There's a problem though. In the script, there's something called "p.Locked". P equals "Parent", for those who didn't know.
Some hats have this 'p.Locked' false. So it would be like this: p.Locked = False. When its 'false', the hat is unlocked. When unlocked, it would act like a brick; movable. So that means, a user can use the starter building tools to move/delete/copy your hat in many ways.
The business fedora. If you worn it on a building game, they can mass copy it. Of course you can't. Only others can.
Why i'm asking for this is because users complain that someone is deleting their hats. Or even moving them. However there are many people that could be a witness, so it's really impossible.

FAQ:
"Does locked and anchor mean the same?"
No. They are 2 different attributes. Anchor makes the brick stay in place. Locked makes the brick un-touchable.
"Do you know more hats that are un-locked?"
Currently I only know a few. There are many others.
"Wouldn't this require updating all other hats that weren't locked?"
Yes. Its quite simple for it to be accomplished. Its not a requirement, but it would be nice if they just check over the hats.

Correct. Try to remember both 'True' and 'False'. Needed when scripting.
"How do you know if its locked or not?"
Get a model EXACTLY like the one you want to purchase. Examine it on Roblox Studio. Search for its script. Look for "p.Locked" and check if its true or false.

Actually, a lot of hats are already copylocked, and are intended to be.
But you know, the devs forget to lock them all. |

Well, as I said, not a requirement.
But if users are gonna rage that someone is doing 'actions' with the player's hat, then really, why not?
Plus, they have been updating hats for no reason at all. (Seasonal hats excluded) I think they can just tinker with just a few. |
