They spend TWO ENTIRE YEARS on just Texas History?
No offense, but that makes the worst school system in Africa sound better than the one you're in. |

Couldn't they just put that kind of stuff into US History?
Because really, it IS US history. Since Texas = US. |

Because really, it IS US history. Since Texas = US. ================================ Apparently not for us.
There's a lot more to Texas history than people think. It's been under rule by 6 countries. Thus the "Six flags Over Texas" name for the theme park here. |

Let me remember how I went through my Middle School years and 1st year of HS.
Grade 7: This was mainly about early Canadian History. But we also studied a lot on how it affected the wealth of European nations like Britain and France.
Grade 8: Middle Ages in Europe, the Aztecs, and then ending with the history of Japan from the 1400s (?) to present day-ish. (Pretty much World History)
Grade 9: Canadian government and economics mostly, and I think we spend about 1/3 of the year on the criminal system or something. I think we might have done something else after but I can't remember.
And then came High School.
Grade 10: We talked about various world events and the world economy. Which explains why I know so much about world facts. (Which I also do spend some of my internet time reading about)
Grade 11: I dunno yet, it's in 2nd semester for me. |
