| Back like 6 months ago when I had a teacher(Not anymore) he told me that there's physics involved in scripting. Is it really? ANd can you give meh a link for it if there is? |

It's called creating your own physics.

Meaning, physics can be APPLIED to scripting/programming. That's why I really like math, because you can incorporate just about any type of math with programming. Algebra, statistics, physics, calculus, they can all be used in programming.

| There is. But ROBLOX doesn't have it to be modified. |

Quadratic Formula :D
function quad(a,b,c) ans1 = (-b + math.sqrt(b^2-(4*a*c))) ans2 = (-b - math.sqrt(b^2-(4*a*c))) return ans1/(2*a), ans2/(2*a) end
print(quad(1,2,-8))
>2, -4

Wait... I did it wrong. BTW, I don't know any physics at all :3 This is just algebra stoofz.
function quad(a,b,c) disc = b^-(4*a*c) if math.abs(disc) ~= disc then return "J00 GUNNA GET DA IMAGINARIE NUMBRS, NO ANSR FER J00!!1!1) end else ans1 = (-b + (disc^.5)) ans2 = (-b - (disc^.5)) return ans1/(2*a), ans2/(2*a) end
print(quad(1,2,-8))

If you don't know anything about physics you didn't even help me one bit! |

Then why don't you look up physics stoofz and make programs based off of that?

miz... Physics is a branch of science, why would the ROBLOX wiki have stuff about it? -.-

Physics is the science of the movement, energy, and force of matter.

Not... usually you don't...
You can use scripting to make a physics system, but it's not a required skill. |

| That's because scripting wouldn't work without electricity, and electricity is just electrons, which are fermions, which make up hadrons, which make up atoms, which make up molecules... etc, etc, ad infinitum. |

Yes... You can. People (not in roblox) create programs to simulate real-world, or other worldly, events without physically testing them. To do that, you must create virtual physics.

Ok can you guys give me a simple example! I mean you guys are saying
Why would scripting use science or you SOMETIMES use it. I just want one simple example of using physics. |

A simple example would be the fact that your player in roblox falls down. When you jump, you hit the ground again. That's physics. When things fly all over the place when a bomb goes off, that's physics. It can be pretty complicated, trying to figure out the rotation needed for an object after it's been hit with great force.
