BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Police in Alabama are getting ready to enforce what is considered by many as the toughest immigration law in the United States.
Beginning Thursday, authorities can question people suspected of being in the country illegally and hold them without bond, and officials can check the immigration status of students in public schools, Gov. Robert Bentley said.
Those two key aspects of Alabama's new law were upheld by a federal judge on Wednesday.
The governor said parts of the law take effect immediately. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sources: (MSNBC) _________________________________________________________________ god damn you southerners....
Plus, there are barely any illegal immigrants in alabama. OH WAIT! There are no immigrants in alabama...
The USA could use some more asians and mexians.
They are quick and efficent.
I'm telling you Immigrants will save the USA. |

There really is nothing wrong with this.
Just give them your citizenship. And it will deport illegals taking up jobs so that legals can actually take those jobs. |

So lets say a lady has a child and the lady is an illegal immigrant; do you think the child should be deported?
HAIL NO!

Sure. Why not.
It makes no sense to move the mother and leave the child. |

Oh god...
You have no heart.
It makes PERFECT sense for the mother to leave and the child stays.
It's not the childs fault that his/her mother is an illegal immigrant.

Still.
The child did nothing wrong.
I say, if the child is 6 years of age or older then the child should be able to decide whether they want to stay or be deported.

Well. When they try this in Florida, me and the greater Miami area will be ready to pull a Greece. No way in hell racist laws like that are going to be accepted here.

Do Norweigans sneak into Alabama?
But being singularly suggestive nowhere in there does it say it picks out hispanics you are implying that it will do that. |

If there's anything that America (and Britain) have taught me, it's that police departments will bend the rules so they can sit on their asses doing nothing for longer periods of time. How does it not pick out hispanics? For christ's sake, if this happened in florida I'd be stopped twice a day. |

Reasonable suspicion is not something some trolololing cop made up. It is a valid legal precedent.

Cops beat and tasered a mentally ill homeless man to death in California a few months ago. SO much effectiveness.
Reasonable suspicion is a complete load. If by exercising your right to deny a search, you give them permission to search you. then your right doesn't exist. |

Meh. Wrong place wrong time is a common thing, you can't blame him for searching you. He could if he wanted to put together probable cause. Either way if he brought you in you would've been release in no time because even though he probable cause it was still largely groundless.
Also I call Cherry picking (potentially) |

I left out the 20 minute lecture on respect and all that jazz when I declined the search. Same for my bro. The ironic part is that the reason the black dude got away is because Judge Dredd over there was totally obesemode. |

Mexicans and Asians are very very hard working people. Also, my school is 97% Chinese. I have not been bullied at all and I feel I'm actually learning something. The best school in NYC is mainly Asian. Also in San Francisco the best school was majority Asian. A lot of Hispanic neighborhoods in NYC and San Francisco have excellent schools too. Kk |
