| It is important to mention that both countries are in MERCOSUR, which also integrates Paraguay and Uruguay. |

I don't really support any of the parties here (I'm a centrist), though I'd say I'm closer to the Partido Nacional than to the rest.

I know that Peronism is between the left wing and centrism, however I just read that it doesn't have a clear ideology, although it does have a lot of left wing ideas. The Nationalists are right wing, but they didn't abolish things like free healthcare and public education when they were in power so one could say they are centre right. |

Peronism and Kirchnerism are probably my favorite political ideologies for South America.
My ideologies shift per region based on its need. Right now Latin America needs to modernize itself fast, because I wanna retire there. |

I think Chile would be much better, have you ever seen pictures of Santiago? They look nothing from what one would expect from a South American country.

Things aren't really that bad here, it seems Argentina will finally let Paraguayan energy pass through their territory to get here and a train connecting Argentina with Uruguay was inaugurated recently, meanwhile Brazil is sending a delegation to solve the problem of the tariffs. |

| Well I was thinking about settling around San Carlos de Bariloche inside maybe a Villa, Chalet, Mar Del Plata, or a Spanish Colonial. |

Or Villa General Belgrano or La Cumbrecita looks cool because of bikes and walking are required.
But then there is also Sierra de La Ventana, which is very isolated. |

Or you could go to Punta del Este. Another thing, a "Villa" in Argentina is quite the opposite of what you believe. |

I know. Its almost a shanty.
But by Villa I mean what would be a mansion in Argentina with Spanish influences. |

| Punta del Este looks cool, but I don't know how I could deal with the supposed 1/2 million tourists. |

It is a bit less crowded in December. One thing you can do to is to go to the beaches in the Isla de Gorriti, although stuff there is very expensive (but that isn't something an American tourist would care about, right?) I went to Punta del Este last week, in the playa (beach) Mansa (the one with shores on the Río de la Plata there were like 10 people in a kilometer. |

With a name like History I would think you would know that the enemy is always interchangable. Less than a year after WW2 Germany became our ally Russia our enemy and we were to rebuild Japan.
Argentina would create balance towards Brazil and thus stabilize not only South America but also secure the South Atlantic. Not to mention the competition could benefit your continent greatly. |

Why would Argentina want to side with you? 1- Brazil is not a threat to them (in fact they have friendly relations and similar ideologys). 2- The country has a lot of nationalists which despise Britain, who will never accept that the British control the islands (the issue is often used as a vote buying measure).
