I just hate the fact we argue over some electrical source. Especially the fact that we have solar energy.

If I was a president, I'll destroy rigs, but not the oil, make solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal plants everywhere. And cars would be replaced by either full-electric, hydrogen, and even solar powered cars. :D
Then, I would replant millions of trees.

| Who cares about oil? Why not discover a new useful fuel for the earth. It's all pointless killing for who gets what. |

| Solar energy is a great alternative to all the other energies. the disadvantage though is that solar panels cost a lot more money. |

| How about we just use ourselves for energy? I have one of those things where you have to run or something, and it powers stuff up. Kinetic energy is important, too. |

@Lukejon1,
That's true. The president turned down a big fortune company that wanted to put solar panels on the White House. Who cares about Crude Oil. Also, Crude Oil is either oil from algae billions of years ago, or even fossils! Coal is trees which died and had energy in them.
So, when you pour a cup or oil at a rig, you're basically looking at some skin cells of a Tyrannosaurus. |

READ PLEASE.
It really makes me angry to see how incorrect some of the points you guys' are making. First off; we don't go to war because of gasoline. We WENT to war because other countries that have oil were getting arrogant and started charging the United States more and more money. We went there to get them to lower the price and talk to them and it ended in a total disaster.
Your welcome. |

@Geometry,
Kinetic energy is movement. Kinetic Energy was used back then because they had no clue oil existed. Also, Kinetic Energy is horse-back, walking, bicycle, and even stone! It's easy if Kinetic Energy was a fuel and we just had to move the vehicle by turning and shifting, which would make you tired. |

@Andrew,
Nuclear powerplants used fission. This actually depletes nuclear fuel.
Many people are beginning to wonder if a fusion reactor might work. Fusion is putting atoms together. It's like a reaction when 2 hydrogen atoms meet a single oxygen atom.
Fusion is more efficient, and never runs out.
Also, fission reactors need water to function. The exhaust is very hot steam. |

The U.S has also made it impossible for us to afford anything to be so-called, "Green Friendly". The new "Nissan LEAF" goes for a whopping 35,000 dollars! Most average people won't be able to afford to buy or even so much as lease a car like that JUST so that one person can help the environment.
The U.S is a really messed up place and I'm sorry to tell you guys that until the government gets it together (Probably never) then we're going to continue our downwards spiral in to bankruptcy. |
