Instead of making money they are losing money. A 1 month subscription used to be 8 USD; now its nearly 15 bucks. You are better of buying a new movie.

Not to mention, blu ray discs cost around 30-60 USD while dvds cost 15-30 USD. I'm talking about NEW ones. It cost an arm and a leg.

| oh contrar sir its actually the other way around the movie renting business will go bankrupt while netflix will thrive and it is thriving. since netflix only buys 1 of the movies downloads it onto its database and then people can simply watch it on netflixes instant que. infact more and more video distributers are going bankrupt hell even in my own town theres not a single renter in my town yet every single one of my friends has netflix. |

But not all are on instant queue. Sometimes you have to rent it and wait for them to ship a DVD. If they can ship DVDs then they must have more than one copy of each. |
