I'm sure most people here have heard about the 3DS. Some might think, "It's the first 3D system with no glasses. How good can it possibly be?" I am here to tell you about the 3DS. Is it worth it? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lot's of people avoid the 3DS because of the price - $250. Expensive, right? The "PSP Go" is $50 cheaper! ---------------------------Graphics-------------------------------- Do the graphics compare to other hand-helds? The answer is yes. The graphics are better than the psp go or any other hand-held. The color is beautiful even without the 3D. The 3D seems to enhance the quality of the picture. Don't believe it? Search "Metal gear solid 3DS" on google images. The only flaw is that the picture sometimes looks scratchy without 3D on. Graphics: 9.0 ---------------------------Appearance------------------------------ At 8 oz. The 3Ds seems pratically weightless compared to the Nintendo Ds lite. The top screen is a bit larger than the other models. It's handy, and the colors it comes in are cool. The stylus is very cool, you can slide it out to make it longer. The stylus compartment is next to where you put the game in. There is a home button, a start button, and a select button below the bottom screen. The wireless On/Off switch is where the power switch was on the ds lite. The volume button is in it's same spot, and the power button is below the "A/B/X/Y" Buttons. Under the classic control pad there is a joystick - one of the best additions! The 3DS looks great. Appearance: 9.5 ---------------------------Home Menu------------------------------ The home menu is the most convenient feature of the 3DS. It's almost exactly like the Wii menu. Not much to say, but it's great. Only flaw is that some of the things on the home menu haven't been developed yet.
Home Menu: 9.7 ---------------------------Built in Software-------------------------- Ar Cards are one of the coolest things you'll see. You can play lots of fun minigames with a paper card. There's Fishing, Character/Mii pose, Archery, Golf, and more. Landforms seem to pop right out of your floor! The camera sometimes is very senitive to light, but AR cards are still very fun. Next we have the camera. Not much to say about it, but it takes very good 3D pictures. There are lots of effects. The inside camera doesn't take 3D pictures, but the outside does. The sound recorder is pretty much the same as the DSi Version. The Mii Creator has more features such as new eyes and hair. The Street Pass Mii Plaza is very unique. You can play an RPG-Type game called Find Mii to get new hats for your mii, or you can collect puzzle pieces to finish puzzles. When other people who have 3DS pass by you, you meet them and get a puzzle piece and have them fight in Find mii. Face raiders is a great game where you battle flying faces. You can view around by moving your 3DS. The levels become challenging, but still remain fun. The biggest flaw is that the games can get boring after you beat them. Built in Software: 8.7 ----------------------------------3D-------------------------------------- When I first got the 3DS, I was blown away. I felt like I was inside the game. Explosions erupted in my face, and enemies zoomed around me. The 3D is amazing. I still can't figure out how it's possible without 3D glasses. In some games it can become annoying, but you can turn it off. Not much of an error with me.
3D: 9.8 ----------------------------Overall----------------------------------------
You need to get the 3DS. It's amazing.
3DS: 9.3 |

I've played the 3DS first hand before it came out and it was a GIANT disappoint. The 3D is barely 3D! It just adds depth when you hold it at the correct angle. (Yes, you have to hold it at an angle to make it look 3D.
And why are you comparing Nintendo's "top of the line" handheld product with Sony's "downgraded version of a better system, but with a better controller." Why not compare it to the screenshots of Sony's next handheld, y'know, the one that ultimately looks 10x better than any handheld console on the market? |

| Before it came out, you couldn't play a game. They were still developing. |

| It doesn't play GBA games? Then I don't want it. GBA is the best hand-held system yet for Nintendo. |
