Reliable C++ free download??? (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
If you are indeed asking for a C++ IDE, then Code:Blocks or Visual Studio 2008 Express is probably what I would suggest.
As we cannot post offsite links, there is no point in asking us for a site. Search for the string that we give you in Google. If you know your way around to reach www.roblox.com then you know your way to Google.

| Oh, I keep forgetting Roblox's rules about links and other websites. Thank you all for your input though. |

| By the way. Why do you, Sorcus, and you, TheCapacitor, look exactly the same? |

| As someone viewing the situation without knowing what started it, it looks strange that Sorcus, the Moderator with OBC is the impersonator... |

| I've been using Dev-C++ since 2010. I would go with Code::Blocks though. |

Poke, I am officially hating on Visual Studio 2010 express at the moment. The project creation... failed is mind numbing and I have to reset my package extensions every so often to make it work again. On the other hand Visual Studio 2008 express is probably the best out there. So yes, I will suggest 2008 over 2010. Code::Blocks is pretty close, I use it when I run Ubuntu and it is pretty nice.

But IDEs just aren't the way you do things in Linux. Linux is an IDE itself (at least for C/C++). |

^Well yes and no. Since I almost always am developing with Windows in mind, sometimes even cross overs, I like to maintain an IDE which can run on both. So, I just use Code::Blocks. Just makes it easier that way. inb4linux>windows

| IDEs are nice and all, but working with the compiler itself to setup even a single library is a major pain. |

For Java, Eclipse is suggested universally. I haven't write a single line of Java in over 5 years so things might have changed :) I am currently looking at some Java code after the longest time for wrapping my C++ code for the MarioAI competition.

I'm thinking about learning Java, you can do a lot more with it, and develop your own games.

For Java, you MUST use Eclipse or NetBeans. There are other IDEs, but Eclipse and NetBeans are definitively the best for Java.
Eclipse is a wonderful IDE. Tried Visual Studio. Didn't like it much. Tried Code::Blocks. A nice IDE. Tried NetBeans. Liked it, but I found better later. Tried KDevelop. Mhm, good, but... yeah. Tried Eclipse. umg it be sooo epix. However, using an editor and compiling in command line is my preferred way of doing it. |

yes nate. But so can you with C++. And I do like my pointers. And I find that Lua is simply the best language if I want to prototype something really fast(it used to be Python for me). C++ and Lua are all I need currently.
