| I just put valve oil in, and when I buzz my lips into the mouthpiece, it feels like its clogged up, the valves go down, but it's like something is clogging it. PLEASE HELP! (I have band and I really need it) |

| No none at all, When I blow and/or buzz, it seems that it is clogged, but it isnt. I placed the valve back in right. |

| Maybe the oil is absorbing some of the air you blow through, basically you need to blow the trumpet harder, see if that worrks. |

Are all your valves rotated correctly? Because all it takes is one valve to be in backwards and it will screw it up. Take out your valves one by one and put them back in and twist them until you hear a click. Then try. If that doesn't seem to work, I'd take it to a shop and get it checked out.
Resource: I've played trumpet for 7 years now.

How can you tell if it's in backwords? And my instructor told me to turn it until I hear a click, I turned it and heard no click (this could be the problem?).
Exact steps on how to put a valve back in. |
