| Both do exactly the same thing and the only real difference depends on what kind of a server you have. Stop trying to start flame wars and/or pretend like you actually know php. |

PHP is honestly superior though... Cross platform and everything.. Better documented and freely supported... |

@SDuke
lol i already told you i know php xD all php is like an order of events
you connect to the server you connect to the database you create the query you can use mysql_num_rows you can mysql_fetch_assoc you can start a $_SESSION use forms to create a $_POST or a $_GET srs lrn2easyphp
asp . net is a . net framework and i think php is easier |

Lol not even then is it a difference. Mono allows for ASP.Net on Apache servers and PHP is a supported add on for IIS. |

"lol i already told you i know php xD"
And yet every time you say that, you prove to me and everyone else you no less and less about php. Reading a couple tutorials doesn't mean you actually know the language. |

did i just say that?
i learned php from thenewboston and then i learned more from thenewboston when he got alex (phpacademy) to make 200 episodes on everything.
'reading a couple tutorials'
more like sitting your butt down on a chair for about 3 weeks watching video tutorials |

| Do you really need the space in ASP.NET? Its not an outside website, ASP is ASP but with support for the .NET framework, therefor "ASP" .. ".NET" |
