The extension adds the ability to give internetz on posts. I haz no idea how this would work but it would have a button that sits next to the post reply button that says "+1 Internetz". And then the extension has a window that shows your current internetz level. I'm guessing you'd store values on an external source alongside the username of the person you gave internetz to and then when reading it would somehow figure out what username you were on...
Discuss.

No.
Not until they implement the use of HTML coding, the thing that errors when you just add a '>' or a '<' to any piece of text, it will error.
They added that in like, 2008, yet, here in 2011, it still hasn't been added.
WHY?!?! |

@Emoose
How??? You'd store the data in a table. The button would only be displayed on Roblox forums. It would first search the table for the username, then if found add 1 to the corresponding value, and if not found create a new key with the username and a new corresponding value of 1. The server shouldn't have to hold that much data..

| No powerful server required, but can you connect to a server with the java script? Otherwise it's impossible. |

If you make a web service to store the data (and signatures, and whatever else you want to store) I would happily code such a feature to incorporate the data into forum posts. An extension for that would be at most 100 lines of jQuery / HTML provided the necessary API to save/load "internetz" / signatures etc.

| @xLego, The server is the easy part, I could even make a php echo the number for you. The problem I'm facing is getting it to sense who it is. I mean we could do something simple like sense their username and the first time they use it it stores their name and then they get their info based on that. |

It's not possible without using your own independent login system. If it were possible it would be a vulnerability in Roblox's system.
I would argue that it's not really necessary, at least for the "internetz" thing. Does it really matter if someone else interntz your other people in your name? I mean.. if they really want to spend their time doing that. But I don't think anyone would care. |

| Well, what I was suggesting was that we found a way to extract their username from like a link on the page, and sent that to the page which sent the internetz value back to them. |

Lets take it to the extreme: Your authentication will have to be done from the server, because no matter what you do the user will always be able to simply inspect the packets that your extension is sending and edit them to be for another user. |

| @xLego, This may be, but who cares? It's meant to be for fun, and it's not like someone would really want to award "internetz" to someone else by posing to be them. |

@belial Exactly my point. I don't think any protection is needed at all, since even when exploited the code completely harmless. |
