I just looked up the current price for the 208B. It's about $2,022,450. So, I looked up the more common Cessna Skyhawk. It's around $301,000, which is better, but not good enough :\

Also, he has officially backed out on his part of the transaction, so it'll be 100% my plane when I buy it. Any ideas on low-cost 4+ seaters?

@shadow, I beg to differ. You can get electricity on any aircraft. Just put in a mini-fridge and you have an air home.

@shadow, you don't need to buy land for an airplane. You can rent a hangar at an airport.
I'm considering buying a cheaper 2-4-person aircraft at first. When I get my commercial pilot's license, I'll start doing charter flights (with private pilot's license, people can only pay you to reimburse fuel costs). After I get enough money, I'll purchase a larger aircraft.

@Aleks, a boat+plane=/zeppelin. A zeppelin is a rigid airship (fancy talk for Blimp). A boat/plane combination is called a seaplane, such as the Grumman Goose or the de Havilland Beaver.

I think getting a plane is a great idea. But you are forgetting the gas/fuel. Thats pretty expensive. |

@Thecoolguy, I looked up fuel prices for my local airport. It's $5.90/gallon if you have the fuel truck bring it to you and gas it up for you. It's $5.30/gallon if you pump the gas yourself from the gas pump.
