Earlier I made a post about my rpg engine and some questions on what you guys thought. Well I have made 3 videos of my engine so far on my youtube account, scripterV1O. I thought I would just post that.

Furthermore on the scripting.... For my games color chooser, for your characters hair color/skin color would yall rather have a red green blue color input or a color picker, or both?

I said 3 videos and there are only 2 but that is cause im uploading 3rd as I type this. I think my next one will be on something more interesting. What would ya'll suggest?

@Blocco...UI isn't of concern. Right now getting the functions and stuff done is my goal. Then I will add a ui.

What are the exact dimensions of the PlayerChat and the PlayersList... I want a frame that can nest perfectly between them... For some of the UI.

For my last update, I made a new class called Slider....
It is more of a tab selector but ohwell.. It uses one button and determines which region you clicked depending where the button was pressed.

local engine = shared.GuiEngine;
local slider = engine:createSlider(textButton/imageButton);
slider:setRegions(4); --this would make a region at 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 each 0.25

slider.onRegionChanged:connect(function(region)
print(region.." was clicked.");
end);

clicking the button at 0.24 or lower would fire region 0
clicking the buttno at 0.5 - 0.74 would fire region 2
clicking above or at 0.75 would fire region 3
and 1 is obviously 0.25-0.49

Ya but if you new, im not using there garbage because its not reliable. If I want my engine breaking I will use theirs.

And they shouldn't be at 0, 0.25 etc

They should be at

0.125, 0.375, etc

If you like I have the code for a slider class in Love2D I made, it's realy efficient and has multiple settings like display or not display the places where the slider locks into place (I call them slots) put the slots centered or below the line, and it has events when you move the slider, so when the slider's moved, the SliderMoved event will fire.

As in

Slider.SliderMoved:connect(function(x)
print("the slider is in slot "..x)
end)

4 sliders: 0,1,2,3
5 sliders: 0,1,2,3,4

My class works fine... And roblox's will break because roblox's stuff is garbage to me and breaks at one point or another.

You can't just stereotype everything.

It works perfectly fine. I can go ahead and say your stuff will all break without any proof, but I'm not.

And I meant you shouldn't put them to the left, you need to centre them on the limit.

As in

If you only had one slot, and 5 pixel slider, it'd put the slot on 2.5, rather than 0.

If you have one slot the, no matter where you click, it will select that slot....
It does 1/number so 1/1 = 1 so the slider tab size = size of slider.

Update: InventoryListener

This is the latest update. Anytime an inventory item is selected, all events are fired. Is this an ok setup for how you initialize the code? What would you like to see? This could be good for if I ever add a Add-On engine similar to World-Of-Warcrafts....
