Think about it, tons of military hardware being made gave countries endless supply, AND provided many innovations in technology!
Leaving the US as a superpower yet again, and Russia still pretty high up in military might. |

All that wasted moneyz.
At least America got to use it weapons when the big boys came out to play against Iraq in '91. I really wish the Cold War heated up, but no nukes.
I would of gladly of defended the Fulda gap against all odds with my MG3. |

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be the hero you'd think you'd be. - The GDR's military was pitiful at best.
They were given usually the worst of the weapons and designed to act as human waves before the BTRs could zerg through.
And Russians are easy soldiers to take down.
They got mowed down in Eastern Europe.
Numbers or not, they can't into military strategy. |

The Cold War brought down the Mafia.
Without the Cold War, advances would have been quite slower.

But guess what the downside to those advances are?
DING DING DING! More debt!
Which cuts funding for those programs to historical lows, slowing progress. |

| So it turns out that a common enemy and huge amounts of fear can really speed up advancements in technology. |
