Roblox has had many great zombie games, but none have exceeded a certain standard. I am currently creating is what you may call the equivalent of Perilous skies.
The game will include a variety of GUIs and new types of weapons. The game also revolves around the theory of infection. If you die, you'll also become a brain-thirsty zombie.
One of the new features the game will include would be a zombie library, where you can read upon the zombies - with a 3D image of the zombie, rotatable - to explain to you their weakness etc.
Each player will have one of the following in their backpack; A main weapon with limited ammunition such as submachine gun; A secondary weapon with unlimited ammunition such as a Pistol; An explosive object such as pipe bomb; Medical objects such as pills and medical kits. I am also thinking of melee weapons, but that may be an may/may not happen.
I have not decided on if there are characters in the game, so I may just leave you with your normal Roblox clothing.
The maps have not been made so far, hopefully some skillful individuals may want to donate a map or so to help me. Be aware, if I do not think it is good enough, I would tell you truth that I do not think that it is of top-standard.
The game will also give you achievements, such as "Most Zombie Kills", "Most Valuable Player" and such. I am currently oblivious of these current achievements.
Upgrades will also be incorporated in the game, but will not play such a big role - to allow new players to have the same advantage as other players - and I am currently thinking of tieing upgrades together with achievements.
Why did I create this thread? The main reason is that I would like to inform people about this game, and for suggestions and ideas. Also, it is due to the fact that I was writing the game mechanisms and it has already reached up 200 lines when I considered myself just starting. I thought to myself "Wow, this may be a great game!".

Little update:
Its 6:20am right now, I should really go to sleep. I have insomnia, so hopefully when I wake up later - I find this thread full of discussions and ideas.

Zombies games in general have got to be the most overused game theme of ALL TIME. From Roblox to Indie Titles, you can find zombie games everywhere. It would be refreshing if you could take your determination and will into another, more original suggestion. That said however, here is my feedback.
There was another zombie game that I used to play, with an idea quite similar to yours. The round started off with one person becoming a zombie, and as that zombie killed other people, the zombie army became larger and larger. It was a very well done game, hosting a GUI for a weapon shop, fantastic character models for the zombies, and a time system that opened up more types of zombies (hunters, boomers) for the people to use as the clock ran down. However, it can still be surpassed easily by someone who's willing to put the work in.
Multiple maps, each of them elaborate and well-done, would be one of the breaking factors in how the game works out. Each map should be large enough to hold several fallback options for the humans, but with a system that makes it so that the zombies can get right back into the action without having to walk a long distance just to get to the last human. The humans should be in the center, with the zombies around them, and as the humans run down low they are forced to retreat further and further into the middle. Also - and this is important - there should be choke blocks that humans can use to stem the tide of zombies, but there also should be WAYS AROUND these choke blocks, that are either hidden or hard to get across, or both. It is NOT fun to have a couple of humans with Uzis camping in a corrider while they mow down countless zombies. It can and will causes rage quits.
Weapons are also extremely important for a zombie game. I would urge you NOT to follow the weapon model system used in such pseudo-realistic shooters that are so common nowadays, such as CoD or Battlefield. I personally don't care for a bunch of guns that are supposed to be different, but FEEL the same to me. A much more innovative, and much more FUN model to follow would be the Halo Franchise, or even TF2. What's important is that you have very different weapons that work very different ways, with some working in some situations and failing in others.
Another thing I feel I must point out is that weapons are not limited to the humans. Being a zombie can get boring after a while. You run up to people and stand near then, while their health goes down. Some of the more popular zombie games give some zombies strange abilities that help them kill humans, or have completely new zombies to bring in variety. Keep in mind however, that I don't want to play a zombie game where the zombies are literally just outgun the humans. Abilities should be granted on respawn, they should be rare, they should be random, unless you wish to grant certainty to VIP members or such. I'll play a game much longer if I know I have a chance to get a cool ability sometime as a zombie, even if it's only for one life.
Last but certainly not least, polish. Polish is what separates the good ROBLOX games from the excellent ROBLOX games. This means things like: having fitting GUI's for health and ammo and time, steaming out as many bugs as you can, using different and unique characters models, having different types of zombies (and maybe humans models). All that good stuff. I don't want to use weapons that feel like plastic toys (like the default paint-gun). There are amazing weapons out there in ROBLOX now that feel very, very nice, and there's no reason why your game shouldn't have them too. Bugs are very important to NOT have. It doesn't matter how good your game is if it's broken. A prime example of this would the the GOD AMAZING laser tag game by StickMasterLuke. When it first came out, it was just as good as it now is, but bugs would penetrate the surface constantly, and soon I lost interest in it. Recently however, he updated it, and it's now bug free. It's possibly one of the best games on ROBLOX.

First of all, zombie will not have guns but special abilities. For an example, arachnophobia is a zombie who has an extra pair of limbs which allow him to jump higher, he is also slightly faster.
Arachnophobia also has a web which sucks players in if they do not resist hard enough, this web is a limited ability with a meter at the telling when the web has been depleted.
Arachnophobia is one of the many zombies I am hoping to apply to the game, and soon I am allowing game testers.

Anymore great suggestions, I am currently working on the status system. So far it has been excellent.
I've done one status so far which is slowed down status, I am thinking of doing Blind Status, Poisoned and maybe Bleedout.

Hey, I hope you remember me! This is just like my game, but a bit more on the over-head side. I already done 2 series of my game, and gottened a total over 160,000 visits already.
