More recent Swedish heavy metal band. Only have one album, "Opus Eponymous," and is, to me, one of the best albums of recent memory.
I've heard them described as a band that people who love metal, and people who hate metal, can love, and I'll agree. Have some nice riffs, solos aren't really fast stuff meant to show off, bass and drums are nice, some cool organs going on in some of the songs, and nice clean vocals. Very memorable choruses.
To me: the modern day Mercyful Fate.

| Basically, if you like Mercyful Fate, Blue Oyster Cult, or even Pentagram, and a nice 70s-soundish doom metal, check them out. |

I'm listening to Stand By Him right now and I'm really beginning to like the band. ___________________________________ |

"I must start listening to this while I read pony fanfics LIKE A BOSS"
...
Anyways, Ritual sounds pretty awesome. It's like if Mercyful did their own version of "Symphony of Destruction". |

Glad to see you guys like them.
Another great band is Vektor. Another recent band. Progressive thrash metal. With some black metal and spacey/atmospheric elements. Two albums, but the one most people bring up is "Black Future." Mind-blowing album. Space-like themes. David Disanto does some really high vocals.
