The artificial happiness of promises of an afterlife? Our religous tendency to emulate some celebrity that will be all but forgotten in a year? Our human tendency to take the simplest path, though you eventually have to take the hard path? In the end of the day, all happiness is an artificial fabric of our human tendencies to reward seemingly promising or pleasurable paths while avoiding paths that seem more malign at first glance.

| That's such a pessimistic thought. Yet, it inspires such thought. I don't quite know how to respond to it other than what I've already stated. |

Happiness isn't fake. I feel it. It's there. If you can feel sadness, then there is happiness. The only way to be sad is if you once felt happiness. If people think life is so bad, go live in a third world country were the water is toxic and you're swatting off mosquitos and gnats 24/7 Fiiiiiiinal summation: Without happiness there is no sadness. |

| Well, now that I've had time to toss it around in my head, I do believe you're right, in a sense. What we all feel to be "good" is due to the influences in our past. If our parents and friends like being moral person, and teach that it's bad to be bad, then we would follow them. We aren't really in control of anything. |

@Hakkar Your argument is irrevelant as you have no way to measure "happiness" versus "sadness". Perceived happiness is just an emotion that are genes have ascribed to things that are "good" to self-preservation, such as "love". |

| Just because happiness is a state of mind it doesn't necessarily mean its truely fake. And taking the simplist pathes in life won't always bring up the emotion of happiness. But then again, this is the kind of thing that all comes down to an opinion, its real to others and fake to some. Whatever floats your boat then just go with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

@Gunny I'm saying that "emotions" are little more than genetic symbols to tell you if you are doing something right or wrong. Nervousness is a product of these genes saying "don't do it!", whether you should or not. |

Did you even read my post? ;w;
"You don't know, you can't know! Little fools. You wish you knew! You wish! But only I know...! Only me... only me... only me..." It's time for your reality check. |
