I was hotglueing when I got distracted (if you must know it was by a girl), and I glued my index finger. Worst mistake ever. It turned all white and the grew to like 3x it's normal size. I couldn't keep it away from cold water for like 20 seconds. |

To prevent it from hurting when you touch something, if you put a bandaid on the worst of the burn, which might hurt at first, then cover that with plastic wrap. It worked for me. I guess a kleenex or something would work fine though.

If you look up the word, "Burn" in Wikipedia, it has a chart with the different degrees of burns, and a picture example. The highest is actually Fourth degree! The 3rd degree example picture is quite graphic, and they don't even have a 4th degree picture o.o

1st degree burns don't look too bad. But you can definately tell it's been burned. I got quite a few comments about my burn, and I needed a better story than, "I stuck my finger in a hot toaster". But that's all I had to say. Good times.

If you click on the picture of the 3rd degree burn on the wikipedia article, the picture title is, File:8-day-old-3rd-degree-burn. The picture popped up filling nearly the whole page. I almost threw up.
