Here's what it should do. 1. The player hits an invisible brick. 2. Waits three seconds. 3. A deadly laser activates and takes 4 seconds to move across the floor. 4. Laser deactivates and script ends. (At least until another player hits it)
Pretty simple I think. I don't have a clue how to script. All I can do is edit bits and peices of them, so if you could just post the entire script that would be best. If you want to claim the credit for it, I'll give it to you. ;) |

| I don't understand. Is not this Forum what this is for? Asking for help from REAL scripters? If there are no requests allowed, what is this section of the Forum doin here. Just because I'm an aweful noob at scripting doesn't mean I don't have any common sence.... |

| @BAND, instead of requests, you post broken script and we fix them. We can also tell you how certain Lua methods and functions and stuff work. |

| I said it would require doing it all didn't I? I offered to give credit to you for taking the time to help me out and making it on your own, since I can't. I meant it too. I've tried making this script myself idk how long, and it never worked. -_- nevermind... I'll just... idk Fine. Just forget this Forum was ever here. I'm a noob and I except that. Bye.... |

This board is used to help with scripts. We help Debug them and fix them, we do not create scripts for those whom haven't even tried to learn how to script. People who request, usually are a burden therefore we shoo them away. We are not your personal slaves.
Heres something that will help you out.
function onTouch(hit) end
script.Parent.Touched:connect(onTouch)
I did not use an anonymous function for a reason. |

| @BANDICOOT, there's a difference between "noob" and "person who doesn't understand use of certain specific forums but who actually uses grammar and offers to give credit unlike most of the other requesting nubcaiks in here". |

Also, it might benefit you to actually learn how to construct a script from scratch. What you ASKED is quite simple but takes awhile, so nobody would really want to do it. Try the wiki: wiki.roblox.com I reccomend "Absolute Begginners' Guide to Scripting" and then working up gradually from there. Make sure you understand everything about a certain function or method or whatever before moving on, otherwise you probably won't remember it. |

| @BAND, that would be useful, yes. Another thing you should learn about these forums is if you've at least had a go at creating a script that is close to working, people are more willing to rewrite it for you if it would be faster. |

This script moves bricks to other locations, right? I just need it modified so that it'll move a deadly brick three seconds after a player hits an invisible brick.
local BP = script.Parent.BodyPosition local pos1 = script.Parent.Parent.pos1 local pos2 = script.Parent.Parent.pos2 local pos3 = script.Parent.Parent.pos3 local pos4 = script.Parent.Parent.pos4
while true do
BP.position = pos1.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos2.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos3.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos4.Position wait(2)
end
Is this better. Ya sorry. I was bein an idiot.... No hard feelings? Credit will still be given to you for helping me fix this. ;) |

local path = script.Parent.Parent.TouchyBrick -- PLACE THE PATH TO THE TOUCH BRICK HERE local db = false local BP = script.Parent.BodyPosition local pos1 = script.Parent.Parent.pos1 local pos2 = script.Parent.Parent.pos2 local pos3 = script.Parent.Parent.pos3 local pos4 = script.Parent.Parent.pos4
function onTouched(hit) if db then return else db = true end wait(3) moveLaser() wait() db = false end
function moveLaser() BP.position = pos1.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos2.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos3.Position wait(2) BP.position = pos4.Position wait(2) end
path.Touched:connect(onTouched) |

| It works fine, but there's something missing... I'd like it to take like 5 seconds to arrive at the first position, then the script should kind of reset until another player hits it. Other than that, I think that's it. |
