All of you imbeciles do realize that AlienWare is highly overpriced.
I am building a damn-capable rig for 1,400 from scratch, which would approximately be 2,500-3,000 USD from AlienWare, and wouldn't even be better.
Really the people these days, just get the parts off Newegg, and then build it. Don't know how to build a computer? Newegg has videos on that aspect on their YouTube channel.
Really, people are so arrogant that they won't spent 2-3 hours build a computer themselves and saving hundreds (thousands with AlienWare) because they are to lazy to go out there and build a damn-capable build on their own.
The people these days....
If anyone cares -
i5 2500k Sandy Bridge Ripjaws 8GB 1 TB HDD 120 Intel SSD CoolMaster Pro Variant ASUS MB w/ USB 3.0 Steelseries Keyboard ASUS Monitor - 23"
This and some other parts I can get for ~1,400.
AlienWare charges at least 1,000 more and they aren't even as good.... the stupidity of some people these days...

Does Newegg have tutorials on how to build a laptop? Because personally I prefer a laptop over a desktop.

| @Royal, Nope. This is typically do to the fact that because technology can only advance so fast, this day and age PC's are considering the hub for customizing your rig. I am not aware of if you can even buy Laptop-fitted parts of Newegg, but if you can, they aren't going to be astounding compared to PC parts. Also, if you are looking for a gaming PC/Laptop, get the Desktop. Desktop are usually cheaper when applied to as for Gaming then Laptops due to the fact that Laptops are portable. I would just get a Desktop honestly. |

| @xTw02, it is just common sense. Why would you pay ~1,000 USD more if you can do-it-yourself in under a day - and yield better results? |

If you're looking for a laptop, get an alienware. If you're going for a desktop gaming rig, just build your own.
I saved 50% building what I could have bought from Alienware. |

@Phantom
I know that, but they're talking about tutorials on building a desktop so I asked if newegg had tutorials on how to build your own laptop.
