| Then you would be more FDRish than JFKish. Anyway that's the path that Haiti went on. Their first leader kept staying power. Look where Haiti is now. |

And then werton you would lose your "empire"'s largest source of resources and royally screw and piss of your strongest and most important ally the US.
How? He served less than a term, and in my history lesson he was taught in a negative light because of his policies towards Latin America. (Not saying I am a meat puppet of my former teacher). |

| You think the UK has more natural resources than Canada and could survive a Americo-Canadian Invasion if it was to occur? |

| He could grant more powers to the monarchy and with the right people in the Monarchy, the Monarch could use the Governor-General to put a stranglehold over Canada or enforce will the crown as he appoints the PM. Thus spanning the power. Trickle down power basically that spells bad news for Canadian federalists. |

Dude your an island.
Canada spans the width of a continent largely controls the Northwest passage, has huge forests, and mountains. Why do you think the british colonized in Canada? For ports and resources which is the motivation behind British colonization in general, which is why the British were successful empire for many years. |
