If I were to download a game for free of the internet, not saying that I would, is it strong enough to protect from a virus or spyware that may tag along with a game? Or, does anyone know a legit place to get free game? (Not that I would use it...)
PS I like print().

| There's no 100% way to secure, if it's a brand new virus, you can still be infected (if it slips through real-time protection) |

| Depending on what version of Norton you have and what features it has. I know Norton360 and better have SONAR Advanced Protection which will scan files for viruses as you download and execute them, and will actually prevent any binary from executing until it has been scanned once by SONAR. |

Srsly, that probably wasn't Norton's problem :v if it was, you could have booted into Safe Mode and removed it. You could also use Safe Mode to prove it wasn't Norton's fault, since you could start up Norton without starting anything else up and see if it causes the same problem. |

I compare Norton often to anti-virus programs, this always makes Norton look bad. You should never use Norton for any security ever! Its is so weak it metaphorically invites viruses to destroy your computer... |

If you're running Windows, use proprietary security software, you might as well, and it works well.
Microsoft Security Essentials.
